I'm at home with the family, husband and 3 teenagers. Had a long walk this morning to try and gear me up for a productive day and just realised I've done nothing really. There's loads I could be doing, ironing, cleaning, baking, decorating etc but I'm really struggling to focus and get into things. I feel lethargic and anxious as I'm sure so many do. It's not that I can't think of things to do, I just find myself not doing them, for any longer than 10 minutes anyway!!!!
Kick me up the backside please.

I walk the dogs every morning at 6.30 for an hour, then cup of tea, breakfast, watched a film with my daughter, then had lunch, went to check on my horse, now doing tik tok dances with my daughter, while husband cooks dinner 😊

Gin96 · 28/03/2020 17:10

I need to write a list to get myself motivated, I have loads of jobs I need to be doing in the house.

SegregateMumBev · 28/03/2020 17:12

Finished my book.
Housework (kitchen and bathroom)
Rang elderly parents
Shaved DH's head
Defrosted some scallops for dinner.
Tidied my desk!
Found some weights under my desk and started an arm workout.

TokyoSushi · 28/03/2020 17:12

Aldi, long dog walk, put a wash on, read a bit of a book, had a nap, now baking a cake

Shannaratiger · 28/03/2020 17:12

Swapped DS's bedroom around, have been meaning to do for months!

puppymouse · 28/03/2020 17:12

Made breakfast in bed for DD and DH, also went to check my horse. Walked dog, lunged groomed and fed horse, watched Frozen 2 with DD and did a Houseparty call with 5 of her school friends Smile

I have chores waiting but not going to be hard on myself about when I do them.

lorisparkle · 28/03/2020 17:13

I'm feeling pretty 'meh' today. I did force myself to make lemon fairy cakes with the kids but other than that I just can't be bothered. Sorry OP no motivation from me..,,,

SluggishSnail · 28/03/2020 17:13

I am also at home with husband and 3 teenagers.
I have done two lots of laundry, made a chunky vegetable and lentil soup for lunch. Went for a walk round the village including taking a Thermos of tea to DH who was putting up a greenhouse on the allotment.
I haven't exactly overstretched myself, but haven't just sat around either.

Fuck.all

Waxonwaxoff0 · 28/03/2020 17:14

Played with DS all day. Some screen time. Went out for an hour for some fresh air. We're about to watch Monsters Inc.

girlicorne · 28/03/2020 17:14

I have put some washing on and done 6 hours work online. It's freezing and windy here and no one wanted to go out for a walk. It doesn't really bother me as personally I think walking around streets of houses is boring and depressing. We are within a 15-30 minute drive of several country parks but it feels wrong going. The kids have been out on the trampoline and watched a film. We are all very, very bored but if it saves lives then this is what we have to do!

Gin96 · 28/03/2020 17:14

Oh and I bathed my stinky dog 😊

whereshalligo · 28/03/2020 17:15

Did an online hitt class at 9. Had some breakfast, rang my neighbour, watched dh make bread then he made a compost bin. Watched Ds try to jump about on old snowboard.
Played on iPad. Did some puzzle with Ds.
Had a bath now about to have a G&T, eat chilli with above bread.
Didn't go out for my daily walk.

Herecomethedaffodils · 28/03/2020 17:15

Ah lovely to have a horse to visit. We are very fortunate to have lots of outside garden space by the river and countryside walks on our doorstep. I genuinely feel for those with cramped accommodation. I have a list but can't seem to get anything ticked off it. What's wrong with me?

Had coffee
MN
Pottered in greenhouse - planted peas, beans, peppers, broccoli
Chopped up and stacked some wood
Played in the garden with the kids
Picked some salad for tea
Collected the eggs
Now going to slob out for a bit 😊

mineofuselessinformation · 28/03/2020 17:15

I've started decorating the downstairs loo. I've done the alcove where I'm going to put some storage (ikea kallax), so that I can put all the crap I've had hanging around in the hall back.
I've got another coat to do on the woodwork first. I hate painting woodwork!

Devaki · 28/03/2020 17:16

Cleaning, laundry and lying on the settee most of the afternoon. This my day off as working on Sunday and Monday so being lazy.

GalOopNorth · 28/03/2020 17:16

And ... nothing wrong with you. We all need time to adjust. I have days where I don’t want to do a thing but lie in bed ...

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 28/03/2020 17:16

Cooked
Bit of tidying
Walk
Cross stitched

Glenthebattleostrich · 28/03/2020 17:17

Sorted next week's to do list
Made a picky tea from scratch (well it's ongoing, home made lamb koftas, barbeque pork bites, halloumi cheese, garlic mushrooms and sun blushed tomatoes)
Walked the dog for an hour
Painted some wooden pieces

Destinysdaughter · 28/03/2020 17:18
