I work for an online shop that caters for florists. We are getting about 10 orders a day and that’s on a good day. It’s mind numbingly boring and I’d rather be at home.

ACautionaryTale · 26/03/2020 11:06

DH - he's also getting lots of overtime. Train Driver

Our daughter is a nurse, qualified last April. It's her day off iodate and she's had to go in for training to learn how to ventilate patients. She's stressed and tired, we're doing what we can to ease her load as we're both working from home and looking, keep trying to make her favourite meals for dinner.

flameprincess · 26/03/2020 11:14

DP is in food production - if I weren't pregnant I would be at work too (civil servant)

WhatAboutMeeee · 26/03/2020 11:15

Yes dh, apparently not many in and all keeping distance with social distancing, still really worrying as myself and dc are staying home.

RenardeRenarde · 26/03/2020 11:15

We are both still going to work, I work in pharma manufacturing and DH is an engineer at a food manufacturer. Neither of us really want to be leaving the house every day but we feel very very fortunate that we have both been considered key workers and are still earning our normal wages. We’ve actually benefited because I was working day shifts and have been asked to work an evening shift for additional pay to avoid having too many people on site at once.

FatimaLovesBread · 26/03/2020 11:16

Yup. DH is a metal fabricator and still at work Confused

I'm work in pharmaceuticals and would be in work were I not off sick with Covid 19 and it's related complications

MarloweMax · 26/03/2020 11:18

Non clinical manager (me) at a vet hospital and engineer(DH)for 'essential' service. He is home based and only going to high priority calls.
I am off today for the first time in over week.
We have been stringent regarding social distancing etc for ( what seems like) ages.

Groovee · 26/03/2020 11:19

Dh is a heating engineer. His company have been identified as needing to deal with emergencies. Dh has a full PPE kit. If a household is isolating, they are finding out why before entering. If they are showing symptoms, he doesn't need to enter.

He's getting annoyed with people not understanding 2m distancing and some who claim to be isolating but letting the children out to play 🤷🏻‍♀️. He's struggling to bite his tongue.

When he arrives home, I ensure the washing machine is empty and washing his work stuff daily.

He's getting more panicky by the day. He accepts he needs to pull his weight as 3 staff have been stood down due to underlying health conditions for 12 weeks.

FelineUK · 26/03/2020 11:20

Yes, DH a major supermarket delivery driver.. also 'vulnerable' wishing they would follow Tesco and give their 'vulnerable' staff 12 weeks pay to self-isolate too!

Ineedtobecalm · 26/03/2020 11:23

Yes work for a company supplying hospitals with consumables.
