Delay in today's numbers

TheReelSlimShady · 25/03/2020 20:00

Unless I'm being really stupid, it doesn't look like the numbers have been updated for today, it still says 24th March

www.gov.uk/guidance/coronavirus-covid-19-information-for-the-public

Not seen any reasons as to why they are delayed?

Ha, cross posted !😂

ShellsAndSunrises · 25/03/2020 20:54

She died last week. Sorry!

Froq · 25/03/2020 20:54

From:
Department of Health and Social Care and Public Health England

No figures for today yet.

defthand · 25/03/2020 20:54

Yes, or the 36 year old from South London? Sketchy af.

Eggcited · 25/03/2020 20:55

I wonder why they've changed the way they announce.

LuluJakey1 · 25/03/2020 20:55

A further 28 have died in England, as well as the 5 in Scotland, 6 in Wales and 2 in NI . Brings UK total to 468. It's a big drop from yesterday in England.
Haven't seen the increase in the number of confirmed cases yet.

Wellwhatalovelyday · 25/03/2020 20:56

Where’s the best place to find a graph with the increases? I’m hoping this number is the start of a decrease? Please let it be so.

Cary2012 · 25/03/2020 20:56

They usually update on the news round about when Boris does his press conference. Today it's late, but today's update is 28.
Too many, one would be too many, but down on yesterday.
Do you think they are playing it down in case all the morons get complacent and flock to the beach like they did last weekend? I don't know, just passing on the news figures

Bluntness100 · 25/03/2020 20:56

if there’s an increase in serious cases today

Has someone reported an increase in serious cases? The worldometer site has just been updated where it had not been before. Nothing can be taken from the number.

lyralalala · 25/03/2020 20:56

28 is massively lower than expected

JemimaPuddleCat · 25/03/2020 20:56

WHERE HAVE NHSENGLAND RELEASED TODAY'S FIGURES?

It's all very well that everyone is saying "NHSEngland said...", but where??

ShellsAndSunrises · 25/03/2020 20:56

Thanks @Bluntness100 and @ElatedDragon, I was having a complete moment then...

@defthand she didn’t die today either, they are daily figures. Easy to forget when it’s reported today.

Well, I’d like to think that the government wouldn’t be stupid enough to tell what would be a pretty unbelievable lie here, so presuming it’s accurate... 28 is pretty good. Horrendous for those 28, but progress. I just hope tomorrow’s isn’t massive.

LuluJakey1 · 25/03/2020 20:56

This was on BBC News website

peepholepringle · 25/03/2020 20:56

Guardian breaking news says 41 more deaths

PrettyLittleLiar20 · 25/03/2020 20:57

So I think that’s right as of now but I reckon we will wake up tomorrow and that number for the U.K. could well be around 47 same as yesterday, so not really a drop. Whenever they talk about it on the news have you noticed they always say “in the last 24 hours.”

dollface19 · 25/03/2020 20:57

It's happens at midnight

Cary2012 · 25/03/2020 20:57

Sky News and BBC news now Jemima!

LittleBoyJuly2020 · 25/03/2020 20:58

Jesus I give up. Figures have not been released yet.

onwheels · 25/03/2020 20:58

www.gov.uk/guidance/coronavirus-covid-19-information-for-the-public
this has no update since yesterday - isn't this the official total for england, wales, scotland and ni?

Musicforsmorks · 25/03/2020 20:58

There’s a really odd vibe here, psychologically.

People are either determined the figure should be higher, or convinced we’ll ‘make up’ for it tomorrow.
It’s almost medieval.

RainbowPenguins · 25/03/2020 20:58

Serious cases has stayed at 20 for about two weeks, the entire time I've been looking at worldometer.

Eggcited · 25/03/2020 20:58

So I think that’s right as of now but I reckon we will wake up tomorrow and that number for the U.K. could well be around 47

I thought they only updated once a day, and the figures are correct as of 9am that morning?

Musicforsmorks · 25/03/2020 20:59

It will likely jump around, but I do take some positivity from it.
It may change for worse but there’s nothing wrong with being relieved less people died today.

Froq · 25/03/2020 20:59

Until .gov is updated by public health, I wouldn’t be too quick to trust figures reported in the media.

lyralalala · 25/03/2020 20:59

@LittleBoyJuly2020 It's on the bbc live updates scroll
