Worried About Corona Virus- thread 33
danni0509 · 24/03/2020 16:01

What the fuck

Angryrant55 · 24/03/2020 16:02

Apparently not - people expected to rely on what they got.

ofwarren · 24/03/2020 16:02

33? 😭
It's terrifying

Angryrant55 · 24/03/2020 16:03

Andrew Gregory - 'Breaking:
21 deaths in one day at London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust.'

Quartz2208 · 24/03/2020 16:03

SHouldnt it be 400 less as the first death was March 5th (daughters birthday and she got freaked out) or is that ignored for a reason?

dottiesox · 24/03/2020 16:03

Does anyone know what is going to happen to the homeless?

Angryrant55 · 24/03/2020 16:04

Lewis Goodall - 'Patients who died ranged in age from 33 to 103. All were in at risk groups.'

Youngatheart00 · 24/03/2020 16:05

A relief we are tracking behind Italy but it’s still a big daily jump in death numbers suggesting that it’s still exponential growth Sad

soberfabulous · 24/03/2020 16:06

@bentbastard so does that mean we are 50% less than Italy was at the same stage? Could this be a positive sign?

Angryrant55 · 24/03/2020 16:10

Antonello Guerrera - 'From today's early/local data, it looks like that unfortunately the mild "optimism" of yesterday's #coronavirus figures in #Italy now has already disappeared. We'll see the official numbers in a while. Another distressing day ahead, apparently. '

Angryrant55 · 24/03/2020 16:11

Lorenzo Pregliasco - 'Today the data we have collected from the various Regions unfortunately suggest a step back from yesterday's relatively encouraging numbers.'

BentBastard · 24/03/2020 16:11

On 10th Italy were on 631 deaths and today we are 422. Were tracking a little slower than them but I don't think enough to think we will get of much more lightly but the next few days will make it clearer I guess.

Angryrant55 · 24/03/2020 16:12

Alex Wickham - 'Unlike several other countries, the UK govt is not releasing data about hospitalisations broken down by age

BuzzFeed News is told that this is because some patients have not consented to having their ages released, so they can't give overall figures.'

Angryrant55 · 24/03/2020 16:13

Andrew Gregory - 'Also in the last 24 hours, seven #COVID19 deaths at The Princess Alexandra Hospital, in Harlow, Essex

Four at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust, four at University Hospitals of Leicester, four at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, three at Croydon Health NHS Trust.'

Angryrant55 · 24/03/2020 16:13

Lewis Goodall - 'NEW: Leo Varadkar has strengthened lockdown in Ireland. All non-vital retailers to close and citizens to only leave home for essential goods. Gatherings of more than four people, prohibited. Measures still therefore a little lighter than in NI and the UK.'

Quartz2208 · 24/03/2020 16:14

@bentbastard but that tracks from the first 2 deaths on the 6th not the first death on the 5th is there a reason do you think

www.theguardian.com/world/2020/mar/05/more-than-a-hundred-people-in-uk-infected-with-coronavirus

Or am I just clutching at straws that means we are less

Homkaismycat · 24/03/2020 16:14

I saw groups of people of 5-6 even with a pram walking past my house to the park.. kids on bikes ... there is NOT lockdown here ever.
And this is exactly the reason why we are in this SHIT righ now,
Fucking cunts going for picnics.
Wtf!

AutumnRose1 · 24/03/2020 16:15

dottie

Sadiq Khan has organised this for homeless Londoners

Angryrant55 · 24/03/2020 16:15

Mirror Breaking News - 'Greta Thunberg confirms she has Covid-19 symptoms and is self-isolating with dad.'

CricketCrocket · 24/03/2020 16:16

Italy started their first lockdowns on day 7ish though. I believe we’re on day 19...

LambriniSocialist · 24/03/2020 16:16

We are definitely moving away from Italy's curve now which is something isn't it?

Still, a big jump today Sad

BentBastard · 24/03/2020 16:16

@Quartz2208 sorry I don't know. The figures I'm tracking with are the same ones I've seen posted online frequently so I've used them. No idea why it's been done this way.

Wasn't the first British death not on British soil? Could it be that?

Angryrant55 · 24/03/2020 16:18

Yes it was a passenger on the Diamond Princess.

FingonTheValiant · 24/03/2020 16:19

March 6th was first death in the uk, I think.
