Yes!

IWantToBreakFreee · 22/03/2020 16:27

No. If you want to lock down then you do it and you will be okay.
FYI we are staying in and do find it irritating that people are not listening

missmeg3leg · 22/03/2020 16:28

Yes & to all those saying no feel free to join me at work tomorrow 0800-2000 intubating more CV patients & seeing fear in every single member of staff’s eyes

VivaLeBeaver · 22/03/2020 16:28

Yes.

Is Boris doing a press briefing later? Am hoping it’s announced today.

Purpleneonpinkunicorns · 22/03/2020 16:28

Yes it's been needed for at least a week.

Bipbopbee · 22/03/2020 16:28

100% yes

BarbedBloom · 22/03/2020 16:29

Yes

CoronaIsComing · 22/03/2020 16:29

Yes, from last Friday.

BackyardChickens · 22/03/2020 16:30

Once the bill has been passed through parliament then we will be put in lockdown.

covetingthepreciousthings · 22/03/2020 16:30

Yes was originally reported as 4.30pm but now seems to be 5pm I think

Butterbear86 · 22/03/2020 16:31

The outcome is the same.
Unless locking everyone down until there’s a vaccine. 18 months? 2 years?
Until then, as soon as we stop isolating it’s back, it’s just we are a whole lot unhealthier from being stuck inside for months on end. It’s here to stay. Why would sitting in the house for 12 weeks make any difference? It’s still there when you go back out.
So basically unless people are willing to stay in for 18-24 months AND they find a vaccine in that time then the outcome is the same. Why wouldn’t it be?

Butterbear86 · 22/03/2020 16:32

It won’t be gone. It’s just delaying the problem.

WhenTwoBecomeThree · 22/03/2020 16:33

Yes there should be, people aren't taking it seriously or have the 'it won't happen to me' attitude

IStressheadI · 22/03/2020 16:33

For the "outcome is the same" folks.

It's about slowing the rate of infection by limiting the amount of people we come into contact with. Of course we cant totally shut it off because we all need food but if we limit the amount of people we come into contact with we slow the spread so our health services dont become overwhelmed.

sunshinemachine · 22/03/2020 16:34

yeas

Superlooper · 22/03/2020 16:34

Yes. To protect those who HAVE to work.

mrssunshinexxx · 22/03/2020 16:34

Yes and I'm crossing everything that it's announced tomorrow

WhentheDealGoesDown1 · 22/03/2020 16:34

It won’t make any difference so no

mynameiscalypso · 22/03/2020 16:35

Surely the whole point of a lockdown now would be to ease the pressure on the NHS? I don't think anyone thinks that a lockdown will magically make CV disappear. Then, when the situation with the NHS is less acute (although that's a ridiculous thing to say given the state of the NHS), you can let people mix again.

The80sweregreat · 22/03/2020 16:35

It should happen now

The80sweregreat · 22/03/2020 16:36

Yo you in the West Country my support. It's beyond selfish what is happening. Disgraceful

SchrodingersKitty · 22/03/2020 16:36

yes there should be one and I very much hope it is imminent.

SpeedofaSloth · 22/03/2020 16:37

Yes. Then DH's employer would send staff home, and my kids won't have to be in school anymore.

WeArnottamused · 22/03/2020 16:37

Yes! Like two weeks ago

Fivetoomany · 22/03/2020 16:37

@mynameiscalypso completely agree. This is to stall the pressure on the NHS. Once cases start falling you will allow certain groups to mix again. This is the only way the NHS will be able to handle this now.
