NEW: the government has asked all mobile operators to prepare to send an official text message to everyone in the UK. Content and exact timing are unclear but operators have been asked to be ready from this evening.

UPDATE: Industry sources expect to send all-UK text message from the government tomorrow.

Am really relieved. My husband isn't sure if he is meant to go to work tomorrow though. He works in a warehouse supplying clothing. The shops are already closed. Any ideas? Probably a stupid question but everyone only has the HR number and he starts at 6am

Sorry if I was obtuse over the last few days but I was told last Wednesday. It was very much planned. The government have been monitoring movement using mobile phone GPS. If the general public had complied then it would have been delayed unfortunately they didn’t.
