Tryingtoprep I think it was just social and verbal habit. He couldn’t help himself saying it. Like when he balked at the word immoral the other day.

Angryrant55 · 20/03/2020 17:46

Boris mums has serious health conditions as well.

danni0509 · 20/03/2020 17:47

Yes Rishi made a mistake about saying shops and he realised his mistake a few minutes later when one of the journalists asked him about shops. You could tell he was thinking wtf ? Anyone else notice that ?

Marsha, but a Prime Minister should be able to overcome that kind of habit when a clear message needs to be given in a time of crisis.

Increase of 714

defthand · 20/03/2020 17:50

+2355 new tests (low!)

  • 714 new cases
danni0509 · 20/03/2020 17:50

I make that U.K. worst day yet

SistemaAddict · 20/03/2020 17:50

The extra UC money: does anyone think the benefit cap will be scrapped for now? Otherwise the extra money will be taken away again.

MarshaBradyo · 20/03/2020 17:50

Educating I’m not excusing him I yelled at the radio! But I don’t think he’s got some extra treatment we don’t have as pp.

Angryrant55 · 20/03/2020 17:50

Over 2.5 in icu in italy.

Angryrant55 · 20/03/2020 17:53

Marcus Walker - 'The grimmest Italian data yet. 627 more dead today, more than on any day in China. Total deaths now 4,032, of which 63% are in Lombardy.'

danni0509 · 20/03/2020 17:53

So of the tests done in 24 hours nearly a third of those have tested positive. Jesus

SistemaAddict · 20/03/2020 17:54

I have no words regarding Italy. I can't process it at all.

Jenasaurus · 20/03/2020 17:56

does that mean all new cases (714) are hospitalised as they are only testing the severe ones that require treatment, if so thats awful.

woodencoffeetable · 20/03/2020 17:57

wow, both numbers and measures...

Fairineouf · 20/03/2020 17:57

Does anyone know how far behind test data is? 2,355 additional test results with 714 new positives is an awful statistic.

Angryrant55 · 20/03/2020 17:58

Possibly - might also include some people ill in hospitals who were they for other reasons but if they were not they might not be tested.

danni0509 · 20/03/2020 17:58

When does this higher number of testing begin?

I've heard it mentioned by Boris himself.

TheCanterburyWhales · 20/03/2020 17:59

Most testing is done though on people suspected to have it, so those figures are to be expected.

Quartz2208 · 20/03/2020 18:01

Italy is one death per every 2/3 minutes

SunshineCake · 20/03/2020 18:04

I am sure Boris will not be seeing his mother in Sunday. Stop being silly. It seemed he would have said..see her at some point , if he hadn't been rushing to the next question. He knows full well what would happen if a photo leaked out of him physically standing with his mother.

Nononoandno · 20/03/2020 18:06

@Quartz2208
Where did you see that info?
