Totally out of his fucking depth

OP posts:
PerkingFaintly · 19/03/2020 21:08

Oh yes, I forgot: Stewart resigned from the Tory party and then didn't stand at the election.

alloutoffucks · 19/03/2020 21:10

I don't want an autocratic leader. I just want someone who comes across as if they have got some kind of handle on the situation, cares and is able to do the job.
Boris comes across like a startled rabbit in headlights that is way out of his depth.
That is NOT what a PM should be like.

Alsohuman · 19/03/2020 21:10

He didn’t resign. He was kicked out.

LittleYorkshireLass · 19/03/2020 21:11

@Justanotherlurker

Imagine trying to shoe horn in your apparent partisan politics onto a world wide pandemic, imagine how bitter and ill informed people must be to try and score political points when countries are shutting their borders.

It's utterly pathetic isn't it? The world is in crisis, and people are trying to score political points. To come on here and slate Boris Johnson - who is doing the best job he can in the biggest crisis since the second world war - is nasty, pathetic, and downright childish.

Alsohuman · 19/03/2020 21:12

*Cloak and daggers is what most people have moved away from, Blair and Clinton is nothing but Tory Light in their economic policies, the fact that the 'left' was fooled by them initially is why labour have corbyn.

There is no doubt a lot of you will name change, but this is a full 180 on listening to experts re brexit and only believing statements that confirm a narrative, there is a heavy undertone of whatever Boris does will be wrong, it will go down as yet another example of how out of touch MN is with the wider population*

Can someone who understands that translate it for me?

Sickoffamilydrama · 19/03/2020 21:15

Yes exactly @Redbonnie it something I'm learning to do myself but you do have to learn it and be aware of it. Even then I do it get wrong you have to learn by doing.

I hope that by being aware of that psychological desire for security it will help some people understand why he invokes negative feelings and make them feel less anxious.

I don't think anyone can know if Boris is the right leader for this situation but we have him and we can't control that. I believe at this stressful time we should all focus on what we can control.

alloutoffucks · 19/03/2020 21:21

Okay go ahead and slag us off for saying that about Boris. It is what I hear from people a lot. We all agree he looks terrified and out his depth.
Shutting up people does not change their views. I would have thought Brexit would have taught you that.

DioneTheDiabolist · 19/03/2020 21:21

It's certainly not party political on my part. Boris looks like the Tory Party's weakest link at the moment. The contrast between him and Leo is stark.

The Tory's need a Varadkar and the country needs a leader they can trust and unite behind.

LittleRootie · 19/03/2020 21:21

It's utterly pathetic isn't it? The world is in crisis, and people are trying to score political points.

There is no such thing as a non-political crisis. Holding Politicians to account is not 'scoring political points', it is an essential process. If you had more awareness of politics perhaps you wouldn't have voted for Johnson and landed us all in the shit.

TabbyMumz · 19/03/2020 21:21

I actually think he's been brilliant. He's a really good speaker, very calm, measured and think the plan has been really sensible.

alloutoffucks · 19/03/2020 21:23

@tabby Are you his mum? Because I have no idea otherwise how you could think that?

alloutoffucks · 19/03/2020 21:26

Because one thing Boris is not is a good speaker. He got where he is by playing a foppy haired bumbling fool. But when it comes to the crunch, he is not up to the job.

And of course he has experts to advise him. But he and the cabinet are paid to make the final decisions.

LittleYorkshireLass · 19/03/2020 21:26

@alloutoffucks

Tabbymumz Are you his mum? Because I have no idea otherwise how you could think that?

What an incredibly childish and pathetic thing to say.

StarbucksSmarterSister · 19/03/2020 21:28

He's a really good speaker

Dear God in Heaven. He is barely coherent

LittleRootie · 19/03/2020 21:29

To come on here and slate Boris Johnson - who is doing the best job he can in the biggest crisis since the second world war - is nasty, pathetic, and downright childish.

Here's nasty - a PM who is happy to sacrifice people for the sake of 'herd immunity'
Here's pathetic - a PM who can't speak coherently, can't be bothered to find out the difference between a blood test and a urine test before opening his stupid gob, states - with no supporting evidence - that he will have the crisis turned around in 12 weeks
Here's childish - a PM who tries to make jokes during a press conference on a virus that could well kill thousands of the most vulnerable in our society

Iggly · 19/03/2020 21:30

The prime minister is not doing the best job he could. Absolutely not.

Why the comparisons with Jeremy Corbyn? That’s an irrelevant comparison because we aren’t in a general election.

Boris is the prime minister we have and he is causing us panic and confusion.

People are still in pubs and bars. Still going to the gym. Still spreading this fucking virus.

It’s disgusting.

RufustheLanglovingreindeer · 19/03/2020 21:31

Dear God in Heaven. He is barely coherent

Yep

Alsohuman · 19/03/2020 21:31

I actually think he's been brilliant. He's a really good speaker, very calm, measured and think the plan has been really sensible

When someone says something like this I think I must live in a parallel universe.

LittleRootie · 19/03/2020 21:31

And if he's currently 'doing the best job he can' then it's only proving pp point here - His best isn't good enough and he's not up to the job

LittleYorkshireLass · 19/03/2020 21:32

@LittleRootie

Yes dear. You keep telling yourself all this if it makes you feel better. Smile

LittleYorkshireLass · 19/03/2020 21:33

And let's all thank GOD that Corbyn never made it to No 10.

THEN you would have something to whinge about.

Alsohuman · 19/03/2020 21:35

We’ll never know, will we?

gamerchick · 19/03/2020 21:37

Ffs, stop with Corbyn, he’s as relevant as Winnie the Pooh

Ah I know man, every thread, It's bloody weird. Hmm

People could lie on their bed, lungs burning in their chest while they drown in their own mucus because they were forced to go to work and it'll be 'well at least it wasn't corbyn.'

It's like twilight zone weird. Hmm

LittleRootie · 19/03/2020 21:38

You really have no argument to make yorkshirelass, just silly insults. Your posts come across as ridiculous and repetitive as mctagmcbag - and less funny

LittleRootie · 19/03/2020 21:40

And let's all thank GOD that Corbyn never made it to No 10

So let's hear it - exactly how would Corbyn have been worse?
