Why is the Queen so quiet?

I wish she would say something, even a ten minute video urging the nation to pull together and do what we need to do in these challenging times.

I imagine it would be a boost for older people stuck at home, I know my MIL would appreciate it. She loves the Queen.

Thank you Lulu. The voice of sanity at last. May they enjoy a few months of well earned rest

Thanks for the laughs Grin

The Queen said. “I am certain we are up to that challenge. You can be assured that my family and I stand ready to play our part.”

Oh yeah? How? Donating some of the vast wealth they grab from the civil list and the two duchies? Deciding that they won’t ask the Treasury to fund protection officers for Harry and Meghan at great expense, so that the money can be spent on supporting poorer people and businesses? Opening up the palaces to homeless people? Not bloody likely, as Princess Anne once said.

Her family didn't have to stay in London during the bombing but they did.

Ha ha ha. Do you believe this? They were all set run off to Canada until they were shamed into staying.

Ha ha ha. Do you believe this? They were all set run off to Canada until they were shamed into staying. Do you have evidence? They didn't even leave when Buckingham Palace was bombed.

Some bitter people on here.

All the 'have nots' out in force I see.

MarshaBradyo · 20/03/2020 16:05

Lol Lynda do tell how much do you have?

Lynda07 · 20/03/2020 18:33

Enough, Marsha, but not rich. I do not resent others having more, I'm content.

MarshaBradyo · 20/03/2020 18:40

That’s good.

Yet I do not have to agree with the vast inequality based on birth alone in the U.K.
Especially as much of it is state funded.

It’s outdated and anachronistic. And it becomes more obvious right now.

Let's have a little more information on what you mean by this, shall we? Why don't you enlighten the board?

NeckPainChairSearch · 20/03/2020 19:40

Lynda are you in fact suggesting that anyone who profoundly disagrees with the concept of a royal family and the idea that we must have a ruling head of state must be...poor? A 'have not' as you say?

Surely you have more straightforward intelligence and powers of critical thinking than that?

Iamthewombat · 20/03/2020 23:04

Don’t bank on it. A desire to kiss the hems of the robes of your betters doesn’t tend to go hand in hand with critical thinking.
