I was watching sir Patrick Valence ( I think) earlier . He was talking about peaks . I assume we are no where near a peak and when we do will The virus start to die off . That was what I got from it

As I've mentioned just a few times now I've had the worst flu like virus of my life this week.
Probably is just bog standard flu, but what if it's not?
I'm in a customer facing role and am probably in close contact with 150 members of the public a week.
I would feel horrendous if I spread it to everyone.

But on the other hand I don't want to clog up the health service and waste time for what is probably just a bought of nasty but garden variety flu.

Last week I had to travel to and from North America for work. This included stopovers in several airports and contact with people from around the world. When I flew back from the US to UK and a passenger from Italy was seated right behind me coughing up a storm. I asked to be moved and luckily this was possible however regardless I'd not be considered for testing by 111 if I were to develop symptoms. I've been self isolating and taking my temperature daily (luckily I'm on leave this week) but my colleague who traveled with me hasn't. And there will be tons of other people like this -"at risk" of infection but not officially.
