I've been wondering about the tests done vs positive figures, given the speculation that results could be six days in coming.
I don't think it's beyond the gov to announce "tests taken" as a current, up-to-the-minute figure, then announce "results" as they come in, however many days later. It massages the figures nicely, while remaining technically truthful - looking like a lower percentage of those who have been tested are positive.
Say 100 people are tested on day one - no positive results 0/100
Day two 150 tested, no positive results 0/250
Day three 250 tested, no positive 0/500
Day four 500 tested and the first positive comes in from day one; as reported that could show as 1/1000, when actually it's the 1/100 from day one.
