Sorry how that landed @Newbutoldfather . I wasn't getting at you, it was more a comment on news media repeating the same stuff with no new information because nothing much is happening that they know about.
I'm convinced that proxy talks are going on in the background though.

I think they are a constant. However, that doesn’t mean the sides are close to agreeing. I really hope they do, though.

Not sure how much the below has been spoken about on this thread. And also the Mecca alliance. None of this is good for Iran. They are rapidly ceding control of the crucial arteries and not just to the U,S but to other regional Moslem nations.

I don’t know how Turkey and Pakistan joining (even if on paper) will play out. It would be hard for Turkey to attack the Houthis and then call on NATO if Iran or its proxies responded. It is getting quite complex!
