Look the US is not going to nuke Iran nor is it going to be using Darth Vader's Death Star.

What I do ask is that the posters who posting about the potential for nuclear weapons, just reflect in a few days time on their level of either ill founded paranoia or intentional scare mongering.

He could simply level Kharg , desalination plants and power plants and then simply walk away, leaving Iran with no money , no water and no power.

I can't see the population putting up with that situation for too long regardless of how many protesters they start killing.

Regarding the Straits of Hormuz, that's largely Asia's problem and particularly China. And Europe doesn't have the naval capability to defend an average village duck pond against some overly aggressive Moorhens let alone do anything in the Gulf.

The US meanwhile is overall a net oil exporter and only imports small amounts of oil from the Gulf and certainly no LNG.

This just gets more embarrassing by the day. HMS Dragon has to return to port after 15 days to replenish and maintenance.
