Conflict in the Middle East

Trump is desperate. How can he resolve the Iran shitshow?

1000 replies

TooBigForMyBoots · 06/04/2026 00:32

He is flailing, desperate and increasingly unhinged. Weakening the USA, alienating allies and strengthening the enemies of democracy with every step.

How can he fix this?
Can he fix it at all?

But what if they nuked Israel or the US?

yes its a very high risk but all those at the moment are how dare the usa etc

Stirabout · 07/04/2026 14:47

i think you’ve misunderstood my response to your first paragraph
@Twiglets1

You said Israel has not threatened to use nuclear weapons
i didn’t disagree I just pointed out
neither has Iran
So they are equal in that …

In terms on the UNGA
Netanyahu didn’t say how he intended to wipe Gaza off the map he just declared it as his intention. You after all noted Irans intentions on Israel. They haven’t said they would use nuclear weapons on Israel either
So they are equal in that …

I agree we cannot know for sure if Israel has nuclear weapons.
However, Like you I believe they do
I would like to see them sign a nuclear proliferation deal.

BerthaPotts · 07/04/2026 14:52

The words 'a whole civilisation will die tonight' sounds like a very serious nuclear threat that is not being taken very seriously.

Sounds like he’s woken up and the meds haven’t kicked in yet.
They should make a completely fake ‘X’ site and let him post there.

Yes I did misunderstand one of your responses - sorry.

I would like to see Israel sign a nuclear proliferation deal too - first they have to admit they have them (assuming they do).

No you can't go back in time.

But you don't have to go back in time to prevent a dangerous regime from developing them, in the case of Iran.

Just because there are potentially dangerous regimes that already hold nuclear weapons (unfortunately) that is no argument for allowing others to join them.

The fewer countries that have them the better surely, and the IRGC have already demonstrated their violent & irrational tendencies.

No dangerous country should be allowed to have them
However
What may be a dangerous country to us may be very different to others

Who makes the choice
Who has the right to pick and chose
Surely the best way to deal with nuclear control is to put agreements in place

I do think this war and recent invasions have made us all realise so-called peaceful allies are not peaceful and do not have peaceful intentions.

Can anyone really be trusted to have nuclear weapons anymore ??
I don’t think so

Haha that made me smile (wish MN hadn't removed the laughing emoji).

The point is that any regime can become dangerous.

Twiglets1 · 07/04/2026 14:58

Nuclear weapons were never a good idea @Stirabout

Wish they had never been invented because mankind is too flawed to be trusted with them.

DuncinToffee · 07/04/2026 14:58

No one is denying that.

Only that you can't go back in time only forward.

Bluecrystal2 · 07/04/2026 15:02

The leaders of Iran are radical and have no fear of death. The highest form of honour is dying in a just struggle (Jihad) for Allah.

I don't think he understands that mindset and Iran will never just give up or forget.

RoyalImpatience · 07/04/2026 15:03

@Twiglets1 I think it's been established they arnt trying to build a Nike.. they want to go green.

Yes, I know time travel doesn't exist.

That was the reason for the JCPOA,, limiting Iran's nuclear program

I don't believe that has been established.

They have enriched uranium to 60% when the percentage needed for civilian use is less than 5%.

but then the public also dont seem to understand this and they think iran is all peace and love ?

RoyalImpatience · 07/04/2026 15:27

@KatiePricesKnickers yes they should make up a fake site for him to post on!
They could go all in and create a whole fake world with fake news literally for him to watch .

I don't believe for one second they will nuke Iran
I don't believe they will end a civilization either .

He's obviously incredibly desperate.

Very desperate and trying to force Iran to the table but people like that have everything to loose wnd nothing to gain
Like.kim.jon ung he wouldn't bother negotiating he'd be slaughtered by his own people.

RoyalImpatience · 07/04/2026 15:29

@Bluecrystal2 I wonder how they genuinely come to this conclusion when we are told the scriptures say it's all about peace and love ?

BerthaPotts · 07/04/2026 15:40

Donald Trump has walked himself into a "very, very tight corner" with his latest comments on Iran, military analyst Professor Michael Clarke says.
He tells presenter Barbara Serra that he believes Trump could try to back down from his threats against Iran that a "whole civilisation will die tonight".
But Clarke says history does not necessarily suggest a climbdown will come - pointing out that Trump pressed ahead with his military operation in Venezuela in January after building up a sizeable force.
"They tend to press the go button rather than the go home button," he adds.
Secondly, Clarke says the increased strikes across Iran today (which have targeted railway bridges and Kharg Island) might suggest that "somebody has gone early".
"Why would the Americans do that? Unless the Israelis are trying to bounce the Americans into going early, which is plausible," Clarke adds.
"There's a momentum that seems to have started a couple of hours ago which is leading him into what would be a pretty disastrous set of circumstances."

I also want to believe he will back down but some MSM sources believe he might not, like the above.

I read that. It's very concerning.

I know, people are so naive. Radical Islam is just a death cult that uses violent means, for what they believe is their divinely ordained right to rule, above any other religion. People are shut down from speaking out in case they are accused of racism. It's going to end in disaster I fear.

Yes, he's just threatened genocide. Why on earth is the world and rest of world leaders allowing this behaviour. I fear, he may be thinking of using nuclear weapons. He's a mad man. I'm genuinely concerned for all of us. Even in the UK. The ripple effect if Iran retaliate. Which they will. They seem to be more capable then what we are led to believe.
