Cool. China overseeing Gaza. Why not?

BelleHathor · 12/10/2025 21:56

China is not overseeing Gaza. China like it did between Iran and Saudi Arabia attempted to broker a long term peace. To acknowledge the destabilising nature of not settling this issue on the whole region. It should be commended unlike the Europeans who are responsible for this whole mess via Sykes-Picot/Balfour and the Americans.

Otherwise it will just be rinse and repeat in a few years.

Don’t Palestinian prisoners and detainees often go on hunger strike in prison so they can blame Israel for starving them?

I’m sure I read that somewhere and it’s quite an
old practice.

It’s really surprising monstrous Israel even allow ‘brutally beaten’ illegally detained ‘disappeared’ Palestinians to been seen by legal reps, let alone multiple visits.

Also surprising the doctor didn’t know his hospital was being used as a Hamas command base.

Edited

No. No, they don't!

One of the purposes of hunger strike is publicity. It's not something done in secret so as to accuse prison authorities of starvation later on.🤯

You may have read that somewhere but that doesn't mean it's true @TicklishMauveSquid.🙈

But haven't you heard the whole point of Palestinians to exist is to make Israel look bad or make Israel do things they don't want to do..... 😉🫣

Could you please think that one through logically.

Even google hunger strikes by prisoners. It’s used as a form of protest (in many countries). It’s not something people do secretly so that when (and if) they are released they can blame their captors for starving them.

Stripes56 · 12/10/2025 23:11

A 17 year old child in died in an Israeli prison after being arrested for throwing stones. He had complained of lack of food and showed signs of starvation. Why was a child allowed to get into this state in a state facility?

https://www.timesofisrael.com/doctor-says-palestinian-teen-who-died-in-israeli-prison-showed-starvation-signs/

The High Court of Israel (2 judges to 1!) found prisoners were not getting enough food.

Ben Gvir denounced the High Court’s ruling against his prison ration policies, questioning whether the judges are “of Israel.”

Yes I can think logically and think if thousands of Palestinian prisoners can go on hunger strikes to bring attention to their alleged bad treatment by Israel, they could very easily go on hunger strike during a propaganda war to demonise Israel so released prisoners, often compared at the same level as Israeli hostages, look similar to the Israeli hostages that have actually been starved when they are released.

Of course, they’re not going to admit that it defeats the whole object!

In the same way Palestinians refer to themselves as holocaust victims.

Maybe I’m just a bit more skeptical as I can see the psychological tactics of Palestinian propaganda more clearly than you can.

7 hostages released so far. A great start.
God bless Donnie.

"China should be commended"???

I mean in your blinkered hatred of the West have you completely overlooked the concentration camps and genocide of the Muslim Uighur people by China?

EasternStandard · 13/10/2025 07:21

Great news on the hostage release so far. The celebrations in the square are very moving.

Yes, it’s a day to celebrate.
Don’t look back in anger, not today.

Some genocides are more equal than other genocides etc

BelleHathor · 13/10/2025 09:04

It's funny, during Trump’s very brief ban of TikTok in January a lot of people migrated over to Rednote a Chinese only version. There us folk in the West got to connect with ordinary Chinese people including Uighurs who told us their stories. You do know that many of them were victims of terrorist attacks. Attacks by allegedly Western and Al Qaeda/ISIS linked terrorist groups such as the ETIM (East Turkistan Islamic Party). Some of whom have been happily seen rampaging and killing through the recent "liberated" Syria.

I thought radical Islamists were bad? Now why would American linked intelligence agencies want to destabilise their biggest geopolitical rival?

OP posts:
Twiglets1 · 13/10/2025 09:14

@BelleHathor you sound doubtful that radical Islamists are bad

Nope, was just being sarcastic.

Radical Islamists are a stain on humanity.
I know many people in Syria (nuns attacked by ISIS in the oldest village to speak Aramaic the language Jesus spoke), Lebanon (ISIS set up car bombs), Sudan (UAE funded bastards kidnapping young girls), Nigeria (ISIS linked Boko Haram). Their victims are mostly ordinary civilians in these countries.

So no tears here for getting rid of ISIS linked groups.

The Peace Treaty is being signed as I type.
Donnie’s speech was something else, however finally the signatures are down.
A great day really.

Yes it is a great day - I just feel relieved that Hamas didn’t do something awful at the last minute.

SomeoneSomewheree · 13/10/2025 17:38

Here's to what is hopefully the first day of lasting peace. It sounds impossible but one can dream.

TheGander · 13/10/2025 18:17

I am somewhat grudgingly respecting Trump now.

MushMonster · 14/10/2025 17:07

At least the living hostages are back home! Finally. God bless them and give them strength to overcome what they have lived through.
Hoping the ceasefire holds and all are allowed to start the healing process and start rebuilding.
