Would you all stop it? Jewish people were attacked today in the UK.

Killing more humans than those on the flotilla ever did.

That's a cheap shot (no pun intended) because those on the flotillas will never get anywhere near the war zone, unlike the soldiers guarding the GHF sites.

So they don't have or need weapons.

Sorry @SharonEllis I will stop debating this now.

'The UN and all major NGOs agree that Israel are committing genocide'

The UN? No one takes any notice of them, plus I believe it was some independent committee not 'The UN' per se. There is a conflict, hopefully coming to an end.

Don't you think all the accusations of 'genocide' are directly responsible for the hate that Jews worldwide are now facing?

Wedonttalkaboutboris · 02/10/2025 18:26

PollyPaintsFlowers · 02/10/2025 09:19

Amnesty and HRW? There have been plenty of reports highlighting their impartiality (and the UN for that matter), maybe stick to Google before falling for such biased sources

That’s the go to dismissal any time uncomfortable evidence comes up- call Amnesty, HRW, the UN, the ICJ all ‘biased’. But these are the same independent bodies used as credible sources when investigating any other conflict. Funny how they’re only suddenly unreliable when it comes to Israel.

If every major human rights body, the World Court, and even Israeli sources all point to the same violations, maybe the problem isn’t bias- it’s the evidence.

It isn’t the accusations of ‘genocide’ causing hate- it’s Israel killing 20,000 children. Mass civilian killings, starvation, and collective punishment create global outrage funnily enough.

If Israel hadn’t done what it has, there would be nothing to accuse.

Blaming the people who name the crimes, rather than the actions themselves, is a complete reversal of cause and effect.

Interesting article which has just been shared on another thread.

Two key points from the “Esther Project” revelations:

  • The campaign was explicitly designed to sway public opinion abroad during Israel’s war on Gaza.
  • It involved covert funding and coordination to make content appear “grassroots,” when in reality it was a fully organised PR effort.

Israel’s secret influencer campaign exposed | The Jerusalem Post

The filings reveal that a firm called Bridges Partners LLC has been hired to manage an influencer network under a project code-named the “Esther Project.”

Bloody hell! It's sort of weird because on one hand I'm gobsmacked, and on the other hand not surprised at all.

Uggbootsforever · 02/10/2025 18:50

I mean I wasn’t surprised to hear Qatar fund the Palestine marches.

So independent that like I said there's numerous reports online documenting their disproportionate response to Israel compared to other countries. That's why they're not credible at all. In fact there is a growing movement to shut down the UN precisely because of how it's lost its credibility across many fronts

So it's not a dismissal at all, just a sharing of facts

Funny how Amnesty, HRW, the UN, and even Israeli sources are suddenly ‘not credible’ when they all agree Israel is violating international law, it’s not bias, it’s inconvenient evidence.

Though I’m sure you believe everything the IDF tell you.

I can only assume they mean the U.S …with massive strategic and financial stakes in backing Israel, from billions in military aid to influence over land and resources- yet they have the audacity to lecture on ‘bias’.

I have been searching online and all I can find is criticism from US and Israel . I presume though @PollyPaintsFlowers means more than those two heavily biased players from her phrasing. They might clarify that.

What the IDF are having to do in a conflict in gaza to get rid of terrorists should not cause global hatred of Jews. You know that though.

Maybe those influencers Israel have been paying? They have to post something in their contracted 25-30 pieces of content in a month or maybe its the ad company that they pay to produce 100 ads or pieces of content each month, plus 5,000 different variations of those ads.

You always get dumb people in the world that think because someone shares characteristics with a terrorist they are terrorists too - it is wrong and bigoted. The highest level of hate crimes in the UK are against muslims because some bigots equate all muslims with ISIS, in the 80’s Irish people experienced a lot of prejudice and hatred in the UK because bigots associated all Irish people with the IRA, in Israel you have bigots who think Palestinians are responsible for the crimes of Hamas and across the world we now have bigots who hold jewish people responsible for Israel’s genocide - it is wrong!

The Israeli government and the IDF are responsible for genocide, many of the biggest critics against genocide are jewish. It is awful that bigotry exists and it is awful that Netanyahu’s crimes have made jewish people victims of bigotry. Hatred makes the world a less safe world for all of us and our children.

I genuinely believe the terrorists need to be annihilated and sadly as they hide amongst the community there will be civilian deaths. Blame hamas.

But that would be propaganda wouldn't it and only Hamas do that???

(I actually saw the picture of them all posing with Netanyahu. It's probably unnecessary anyway considering an ex IDF soliders is now Public Policy Manager of TikTok)

Do you believe every single airstrike (of which bombs of tonnage was dropped) was targeted at members of Hamas due to intelligence on their whereabouts?

The largest number of hate crimes is marginally more against muslims but proportional to the population the rate of hate crimes against Jewish people is more than 10 times higher.

It is not Netanyahu's behaviour that has made Jewish people victims of bigotry. Bigotry is solely the responsibility of the bigots and nobody should be making excuses for them.

The biggest spike in antisemitic incidents in this country was immediately after 7 October, before Israel had really done anything. It was a visceral, in many cases celebratory response to the horrific racist behaviour of Hamas. It was nothing to do with Israel. It was all about hatred of Jews.

When you put a gun in your hand and choose to kill an innocent child you can only blame yourself. I'm a Catholic from Northern Ireland. Should my family have been wiped out during the troubles because of something the IRA did? It is a ridiculous argument and a shameful one. It actually terrifies me that people think this is ok. Imagine this happened to your family, your child. I can't think how any mother (or any human being) can think this is ok. Maybe from your sofa it's easy to say this side is right, this side is wrong but this is real horrific torturous things that are happening to real people in Gaza right now. Thousands of people left behind with horrific injuries, no homes and the trauma of loosing their loved ones in the most atrocious way. Luckily most of us have never experienced this level of pain and suffering. It's unfathomable. Listen to the doctors and aid workers in Gaza about what they are seeing and experiencing. It is utterly horrific.
