A mild, late, spineless stand. But a stand. It makes me wonder how much longer this can go on before governments realise people are fed up of this.

Does anyone have any sources for this? That everyone just secretly hates Jews? Israel wasn’t even on my radar before this crisis. I have Jewish friends who are disgusted by what is happening.

…pointing out the mass starvation, bombing of civilians, and killing of children is now somehow ‘anti-Jewish’ rather than simply human outrage at crimes against humanity.

Sugar I quoted the wrong post.
I agree wholeheartedly with @Wedonttalkaboutboris .
Apologies

@CyberStranger So you really think Hamas is responsible for all the civilian deaths in Gaza? Not the bombs dropped from the sky, not the drones targeting children, not the IDF systematically hitting hospitals, aid points, and homes, or the armed gangs acting with Israeli backing? What a selective view of reality.

No matter how you spin it, the vast majority of civilian deaths- including tens of thousands of children- are caused by Israel’s bombings, blockades, and weaponised starvation, not misfired rockets or Hamas tunnels.

If course they have.

It's the same as saying you have seen no starving children.

And for the people in the back..

The one doing the killing is the one responsible. We all have free will . No one can make Israel target a child carrying water. That was a choice they made, they were not forced into it.

Yes Hamas are responsible for all deaths in Gaza as they STARTED the war but for this purpose I am referring to direct deaths from their own munitions which had no IDF involvement.

Land Mines = most common cause of amputation in a war btw.

Oh but they’ll say it was a “technical error”. Just like the technical error that killed 6 children queueing for water.

You do realise this didn’t start on October 7th? Please tell me you know that

Are you sure you’re not being deliberately obtuse? Framing it as ‘Hamas started the war, so they’re responsible for all deaths’ completely ignores decades of occupation, repeated Israeli military operations, and the ongoing blockade that has caused mass civilian suffering. Direct deaths from IDF strikes, drone attacks, and the weaponisation of aid are a huge part of Gaza’s civilian toll.

Framing it?

Hamas absolutely did start the war by slaughtering, raping and torturing 1200 people including 900 civilians, as well as kidnapping 250 people including babies and children, 50 which they are still holding almost 2 years later.

IN A SINGLE DAY.

Would Israel gave gone into Gaza otherwise?

The ‘oppression’ in Gaza was self inflicted by a majority of Palestinians choosing terrorism and war instead of peace.

Do you think thousands of misfired and unexploded rockets landing in civilian areas, IEDs, land mines, booby traps etc, might have caused some deaths or injuries in such a small, densely populated place like Gaza?

How many deaths or injuries do you think they may have caused.

Do you think landmines might explain the high amount of child amputees?

What do you think about the videos I posted of children being targeted by an air strike and a drone while carrying water?

Ah but we don't talk about that.
Look up the part of the episode of "Spitting Image" from 1989 about Israel.

Multiple credible reports indicate that Israeli intelligence was aware of Hamas’s plans for a large-scale attack well before October 7, 2023, but dismissed or ignored these warnings. So no, it’s not plausible to claim Hamas ‘started’ the war unilaterally- Israel had foreknowledge and failed to act, which contributed directly to the October 7 massacre.

So you admit it? He’s using the hostages as a political pawn to justify what he’s doing in Gaza. There is absolutely no reason why he couldn’t negotiate for the release of the hostages.

No I didn't say that. He is not using the hostages as a political pawn to justify what he's doing in Gaza. He's doing what he's doing in Gaza because of 7/10 which included the taking of hostages as well as murdering nearly 1,200 innocent people.

Netanyahu's demands are perfectly reasonable: release the hostages, Hamas to disarm and leave Gaza.

Good for Israel, good for Gazans, don't you think?

100,000 tons of explosives dropped on a tiny strip of land, we've seen the kms of destroyed buildings, we've seen the children being dragged from the collapsed buildings but you're really over here trying to make out it's landmines responsible for the 1000s of children losing 1 or more of their límbs.

Stop victim blaming. It's horrible to blame Israel for the attack on it on 7/10.

Even if there was an intelligence failure, (which is very much disputed the degree to which they could have foreseen that Hamas would dare or be capable of launching an attack like this) that doesn't make it Israel's fault that Hamas attacked them.

Hamas has responsibility for planning and executing 7/10.

You think what is happening is reasonable. 1/3 of the children in Gaza have been killed and you actually think that’s reasonable.

One massive cause of amputations in children is the shrapnel in the bombs Israel are landing. When they explode they have small tungsten balls and cubes in them that lodge in the limbs . They are tiny wounds(look like splinter wounds) but cause massive damage . They often lacerate blood vessels in childen's legs which lead to amputation.

10 children a day become amputees and morphine is either none existent or in low supply.

Reasonable would mean proportionate and consistent. But Netanyahu’s stated demands shift constantly, often boil down to impossible conditions (‘destroy Hamas completely’), and have gone hand-in-hand with actions that prolong the war- like breaking ceasefire deals, rejecting negotiated truces, and continuing blockades that starve civilians.

It’s clear he’s happy to drag the ‘war’ on indefinitely. Although he’s probably well aware that as soon as it ends he’ll be held to account and tried in international courts for war crimes and crimes against humanity. His actions are indefensible.
