It's also because Jeremy Corbyn's new party has already been joined by 500'000 people in 3 days. A political tsunami that will spilt the Labour vote, remember a sizeable number of Labour voters didn't vote last time due to Palestine.

Corbyn will get nowhere, like last time. Mind you, I'm glad it's only Labour, who have to be concerned with that hard left dolt.

Oh, and France recognises Qatar money.

Its also interesting that, though everyone tells us the pro-Pals care equally about other humanitarian and foreign policy issues as much as Gaza, Gaza is the only foreign policy issue in the new party's statement. Amazing when you consider Russia, China, Iran, Yemen, Sudan, etc. A core member of the party said Gaza would be 'central' to their platform. Its pure populism, left cheek of the same arse as Tommy Robinson et al.

They haven't joined. They've signed up to a mailing list. Half of them will be journalists!

Plus it’s free to join a mailing list.

At the point they have to pay, will there be as much interest? No.

It’s a silly idea that will just take votes from left wing voters and divert them away from Labour (and the Green Party).

I’m sure the Tories will be very grateful come election time. They thought they were the ones with a problem from Reform but now Labour have the same problem.

If You Party ( or whatever they call it) is even relevant by then.

Well exactly. They'll certainly get some members and waste everyone's time. I expect more sophisticated statements have come from school mock parliaments. Its pathetic.

Twiglets1 · 28/07/2025 08:06

Funny that people like @BelleHathor are actually pleased that it will split the Labour vote.

Then they will be wailing on MN about injustice & corruption when the Tories get in again at the next GE.

If You Party gets the success they hope it will … which I personally highly doubt.

Good spot!

Twiglets1 · 28/07/2025 08:08

Yes good spot @SharonEllis

But also are any of us at all surprised that all they really care about is Gaza?

Farage will be dribbling at the prospect of Corbyn's stance on Gaza. More votes for Reform.

BelleHathor · 28/07/2025 08:13

Interesting more historical revisionism and genocide denial. I sure hope the people engaging in this realise that's what's good for the gander is good for the goose and won't cry when others question history.

There is nothing the Left enjoys more than defeat, unfortunately.

I know - he will be absolutely loving it. Has probably signed that mailing list multiple times under various names linked to Fruit & Nuts.

I think the Corbyn / Sultana shit show is a great development. It'll seperate off the loons and force them to be held to a little more account.

Agree. On this occasion much better outside the tent, at last, than in.

In a way … It did occur to me that it could be a good thing for the Labour Party to get rid of the more extreme elements.

The British public tends to like political parties they see as being moderate.

But if it does gain popularity, it will be a gift for right wing parties to split the left wing vote.

They have certainly had a lot of practice at it.

True … I’m old enough to remember Neil Kinnock dancing at the 1992 pre election Labour rally, all triumphant & confident of a win.

Defeated by John Major a week later 😢

I read about this a few months ago as it seemed to come up in debate quite often.

It’s actually rather striking that the exact same tactics are still used today!

The full book is available on Amazon if you’re interested.

Also interviews with those involved in 'the fifty years war' series, episode 1 I think.

It's on you tube.

Are they another iteration of the 'momentum' bods?

His son was married to a Danish prime minister wasn't he? The Danes seem to do socialism well despite being a monarchy, the Norwegians too.

Yes, basically, I think, gaza will probably be the key issue for many so it will draw in some new people too.

Still is, he is an mp, Stephen Kinnock. She's not PM any more though.

Momentum and Antifa will be slobbering all over the unnamed party. I'm only glad it will get nowhere near power.
