Nope. Try it for yourself: copy one of the posts Boris was replying to & paste it into ChatGPT (I only have the free version) with the prompt "Reply to this forum post from a pro-Palestinian point of view." I just tried it, and the AI even asked if I wanted a more emotive version.

Again, not the biggest issue here, but when someone is posting such a large volume of AI content, it feels...strange, I guess?

(I admit that I may be overly sensitive to this because it's a very common tactic of some political sides in my region. Anyway, don't want to derail anymore, back to lurking.)

I have noticed they post exactly the same information over & over again across multiple threads. There’s a repetitiveness to it where the bulk of the content is the same despite the thread title being different.

Let's not change the subject, do you or do you not acknowledge that by definition the only thing that can come from journalists in Gaza is propaganda?

Do you support hamas not doing anything to distribute the aid sat on the gazan side of the border? Can you really not see how it suits their 'cause' to have gazans suffer and blame it all on the IDF?!

This poster is not posting in good faith about the poster being accused of using AI. They have a dispute going with them

Yes, I’ve used Ai alongside my own words- openly!- to back up sources and respond succinctly to repeated misinformation. I know how to articulate myself and I’ve researched this extensively. I haven’t been using Ai to write my posts for me.

Whilst I’ve been doing this, I’ve been raising hundreds of pounds and sending it directly to families and grass roots charities in Gaza.

When the same users push the same flawed arguments to justify a genocide, I’ll keep repeating the facts.

If my replies sound repetitive, it’s because the questions and whataboutism are.

The facts still stand.

My entire feed on social media is now starving babies and children. I have seen image after image- a child is dying every 53 seconds- from something entirely man-made. And the same users are still coming out with the same tired arguments.

Ask yourself what that says about your priorities and empathy when tens of thousands of babies are wasting away from starvation and dehydration because aid is being blocked at the border.

No, Israel does not have the right to starve 2 million people.

I can’t believe comments like these, from the same few posters, are allowed to stand. If posts said this about Israeli children they would be removed instantly. This is how genocide denial spreads.

The extent of the damage Israel is doing to itself is unfathomable. I don't know how to articulate this, but I really feel that in the very long term this will cause it untold damage.

The dispute thankfully seems to have resolved with the help of MN, but a previous dispute doesn’t mean I can’t comment on their potential use of AI. Which they have now acknowledged they do use alongside their own words, so those of us noticing it weren’t wrong.

Plenty of people have arguments on these threads, it doesn’t mean any future posts they make in regard to one another’s posts are made in “bad faith”. Unless you are going to make this “good faith” comment to everyone else in the same position, I urge you not to single me out for special attention as that makes it look personal.

Here are some facts:

• A child is dying in Gaza every 53 seconds.
• Nearly 20,000 children have been killed since October 2023.
• Over half a million children are now suffering from acute malnutrition.
• Many babies are dying from hunger and dehydration- including newborns in incubators.
• Israel controls all land crossings, airspace, and sea access to Gaza.
• Aid has been blocked or severely limited at Israeli checkpoints since early 2024.
• The UN and all major aid organisations say the famine is entirely man-made.
• Photos and videos of starving children are real, verified by doctors and journalists on the ground.
• Claims that these children are “genetically flawed” or being “used” are false, dehumanising, and dangerous.
• Even if Hamas disappeared tomorrow, Israel’s siege and aid blockade would still be in place unless it is lifted.

I am a fairly typical Londoner, I had one Jewish grandparent and have distant family in Israel. I was born in the 70s, when WW2 was very much recent history and the Holocaust the ultimate atrocity.

My children won't have the same cultural context. I talk to them about these things, but the wider context is fading. For many many people the Holocaust will be an irrelevance. It already is for lots.

That was further to my thread above about Israel doing untold damage to itself. It's becoming a pariah state.

There is nothing that can justify collective starvation of a population. Nothing. This is a war crime. And I say that as someone who has wanted to be broadly supportive and as I said, would like to believe in a two state solution.

The conversation I'm having with you has nothing to do with "genocide". The topic is free press vs state propaganda and whilst you're very liberally throwing out accusations against of propaganda against the side you don't like, you're unwilling to engage the evidence that demonstrates your own side must by definition be guilty of that you're accusing others of.

Let's try one final time.

Do you, or do you not, acknowledge that Gaza has no free press, and that its government threatens, tortures and even murders journalists that reports on facts that are unflattering to them?

Do you therefore acknowledge that any journalist reporting from Gaza is, by definition, reporting a version of events that must align with Hamas narratives?

Do you therefore acknowledge that the combination of fear and censorship means that almost all reporting from within Gaza is incomplete, and in many cases, functionally serves Hamas interests, whether intentionally or not?

Do you therefore acknowledge that if a journalist is forced to only report one side, and is prohibited from questioning or investigating the ruling authority, then the output largely serves as propaganda, even if the journalist doesn’t want it to?

Or are you just going to sit here ranting about "Israeli propaganda" and accusing people of supporting genocide to deflect from these very simple questions?
