To think UN should now be in Gaza as a peacekeeping force

ArtfulGoldWriter · 23/07/2025 20:03

Seriously, when even the Daily Express are even calling mass forced starvation and putting pictures like this on their front pages.

Surely the UN could act as a peacekeeping force and stop this insanity?

Its obscene.

It's not Israel starving 2 million people. It's aid not being distributed. The example being that the Gaza Humanitarian fund want to facilitate deliveries. The UN have put a block on that. They want to deal directly with Hamas. Corrupt UNWRA are the problem. However, as it's not Israel, you won't be interested in finding out more.

Given the IDF are shooting desperate people at point blank range as they scrabble in the dirt for food, I don’t really have a lot of faith in the new food distribution system that has nothing to do with UNWRA and everything to do with Israel starving the people of Gaza.

Everything to do with hamas. It's all there on the gazan side. Hamas apparently enjoying watching their supporters suffer whilst some lap it all up and blame it on Israel.

Where's the evidence for that claim?

Of course. Israel are completely innocent in all of this 🙄

Just how fucking stupid do you think we all are? No one believes your genocide denying propaganda

Why do you ask whether we think you're stupid? If we agree, our posts will be deleted, as mine was earlier, when asked if I thought pro Palestinians were naive. It's easier just to agree to disagree. It defeats the object of debate, but there you go.

TheGrimSmile · 24/07/2025 20:55

Gloriia · 23/07/2025 20:09

They'd probably get taken hostage by hamas.

Or more likely, shot by the IDF!

Do you have access to news channels, to X have you seen the footage of aid on the gazan side? Why isn't hamas working with the un to distribute it? Don't you think it suits their cause to blame Israel for the suffering of gazans?

'Just how fucking stupid do you think we all are'. Well you tell me if you don't see that hamas is the problem here.

Because Israel has outlawed the UN, refused to cooperate, bombed them into oblivion, targetted schools and children and spread more propaganda that the UN are the corrupt ones here.

Israel has flattened Gaza- that’s what I see on the news.

Israel is starving children- that’s what I see on the news.

And as for X, any sane right minded person left that toxic fascist hell site a long time ago.

Ok. Whatever the site, have you seen footage of aid on the gazan side, have you not wondered why the terrorist organisation hamas is not distributing it to gazans? I'll tell you why becaue they could not care less. They are committed to blaming Israel for everything and sadly some of you lap it up.

Yes you're rabbiting the latest Israeli government defence. Thankfully the world does not believe a word of it and is more focused on trying to get the situation resolved.

I'm "rabbitting" what's been published by the government of the United States who are on the ground watching exactly what's happening.

How can you actually be this lacking in basic logic?

Gaza is a terrorist enclave. It does not have freedom of press. Journalists are not allowed to tell you the truth, because if they're critical of Hamas they get tortured, or killed.

If you'd like to check this theory, please find any journalist in Gaza and produce a piece that criticises Hamas or reports on what they're doing to people there.

You won't find one, because they don't exist.

How can you continue to deny genocide when pretty much everyone else can see it?

God the Israeli state propaganda is pretty fucking spectacular.

The starved traumatised children of Gaza are not Hamas and they are not terrorists.

@Wedonttalkaboutboris, your commitment to removing the em-dashes from your posts is admirable, but you've left in all the other classic ChatGPT tells.

I always wonder why people spend so much time posting AI-generated rebuttals on forums like this...

Try and stay on topic.

You're blethering on about "Israeli propaganda".
Propaganda = information, especially of a biased or misleading nature, used to promote a political cause or point of view.

In a terrorist enclave with no free press, by definition, every piece of news released to you by Gazan journalists can only be propaganda. It cannot be anything else.

Israel might try and share "propaganda", but it cannot enforce what journalists or publications share, because it has a free press.

Can you understand the difference?

They very clearly are. Unfortunately I have to sift through AI slop every day at work, and the telltale rhetorical techniques become obvious really quickly. Things like "This isn't X. It's Y." appear over and over. Then you get into the punctuation - lots of mid-sentence colons and Oxford commas. She's tried to correct for US spelling but she misses it sometimes, so you also get a mishmash of -ise and -ize. Once you get used to seeing AI content, it's hard to miss.

Gaza isn't really in the news that much anymore in my part of the world (sadly, we have other conflicts closer to home), but I know it's a huge issue in other areas, so I try to follow on social media to some extent. When I see a huge number of obvious AI posts on one side or the other, it makes me raise an eyebrow.

That might be true of news published by Palestinian outlets but most news we see coming out of Gaza is not Palestinian-published. Standard practice for foreign news organizations, like the BBC, is to have local Palestinians gather hours of raw, unedited footage. All the editing and editorialising happens outside of Gaza.

That does leave room for bias, but not to the point on unreality, or anything approaching.

MyDearEagle · 25/07/2025 07:18

@sentosa

I also use AI day-to-day at work, and you're wrong.

I know they're imperfect but if you run Wedonttalkaboutboris's posts through an AI detector, they'll come close to 0%, I'm confident.

For one thing, most AIs refuse to be so "partisan".
