Israels plan for Gazas future

Defense Minister Israel Katz said Monday that he has instructed the IDF to prepare a plan to establish a "humanitarian city" on the ruins of Rafah, which would eventually house the entire population of the Gaza Strip.

According to Katz, the plan involves moving 600,000 Palestinians, primarily from the al-Muwasi area, into the new zone after security screening. Once inside, residents would not be allowed to leave, the defense minister said.

Katz added that, if conditions permit, construction of the "city" would begin during the 60-day Israel-Hamas cease-fire currently under negotiation.

It’s not a case of lacking humanity it’s that some people hold Hamas ultimately responsible & some hold the IDF responsible.

It’s never ok to kill children which is why we shouldn’t have wars.

They basically want to try and shame us for not supporting terrorism.

They don’t want to hold Hamas to account for not surrendering a war they had no hope of winning while hiding behind their own civilians and using them as cannon fodder, despite Hamas leaders being quite open that is what they are doing.

Has there ever been a war where the aggressor has invaded, slaughtered, tortured and injured thousands, gang raped women, taken hundreds of hostages, (after decades of smaller attacks) refused to surrender (while still holding hostages) and has vowed to attack again and again, and the other side has been pressured to withdraw leaving them in power to do just that?

Hamas should 100% be held to account. Yes they absolutely should. But not at the cost of innocent children.

I believe it is a genocide. I believe that Israel wants to clear Gaza of Palestinians for its own benefit. I believe that Bibi, Bezalel Smotrich, and Ben Gvir and their like need to be thrown in jail and have the key thrown away. Or Moshe Solomon, Deputy speaker.

However, I don’t think it’s fair to say that this thread is only concerned about literature. If you don’t read around the subject then you remain ignorant. A dangerous thing.

I also believe that if you get rid of Hamas, then you better have a bloody good plan in place to replace them, otherwise all this war will have resulted in is a shocking waste of life and will have put Jewish people around the world in a very precarious position. As I said before, if Bibi wins, he will be a hero. If he loses, fuck knows.

Israel is an 'invader' in the West Bank literally throwing people out of tháir homes, they slaughter and torture, there is sexual assault, they take people and hold them without charge, they refuse to fuck off and do actually do it again and again and again. But because they have an army and they call it 'administrative detention' and wear uniforms and use high tech weapons to slaughter people nobody cares. People don't call it 'war' though, they call it a 'ceasefire' and 'peace'.

Terminology changes depending on the ethnicity of the offenders and how useful they are to the West.

I didn’t say this whole thread was just lit and didn’t matter. I do believe it very important to be knowledgeable and accurate, but it will never boil down to “so let’s kill these kids”.

I think this war is already a waste of many lives. I can’t see any results that will be worth this. And I can’t see an end to it. It’s breeding more and more anger that will stick for many generations. It’s just so sad.

Exactly, look at Syria's new unelected "president". History of committing crimes against humanity (there are videos of this during his "head chopping" Al Qaeda/Isis days). $10 million bounty and sanctions removed, with a picture of him and Trump (who called him handsome). I wonder how the victims of 9/11 feel? Doesn't matter as he now serves the Imperial project in the region. Makes a mockery of any labels the West puts on regimes as their hypocrisy shines bright.

Doubt it. They shot a Turkish American woman in the head not too long ago. The US declined to investigate. Israel investigated themselves and found that it's highly likely that they shot her but whoops they didn't mean it.

Not from the pro Israel lot. They call the victims hostile and say they need to be kept under occupation until they learn to behave themselves because they scare Israelis into being trigger happy killers.
