Is this the same Iran was enriching uranium for the express purpose of building a nuclear bomb?

Is this the same Iran that was plotting a terrorist attack on a British base in Cyprus?

Is this the same Iran that send missiles against hospitals?

The same Iran which actually has a lot going people in Iran hoping the bombing of military facilities can somehow dethrone a hated Islamist regime?

Wtaf?

How many IDF soldiers must be roaming Gaza armed to the teeth with the mindset of 'no innocents in Gaza' ? No wonder so many innocent Palestinians are being shot point blank.

The idea that if Israel laid down arms, their population would suddenly be safe, is ridiculous.

Hamas can say the same.

The trouble is Israel has many options between “laying arms” and killing all Palestinians, but chooses to ignore them.
The tragedy is that the society has been radicalized and cannot stop the slaughter on its own. Israel’s alleged friends keep supplying the ammo instead of the real help.

Whatsinanamehey · 28/06/2025 15:43

As Yair Golan said today, the biggest existential threat to Israel is not Iran, but from within. The extremist settlers and their ideology that attack innocents. These settler attacks against innocent Palestinians are protected by the state of Israel and the IDF. Israel will never be fully perceived a democracy whilst they continue to build illegal settlements, steal Palestinian land and operate under a system of brutal occupation.

Stop bombing all over, I say!

I guess it's hard to tell how many Hamas are dead, with such high numbers posing as civilians.

Including children?
And not just dead but maimed and disabled for life.

I'm sorry, but I disagree with children being killed relentlessly. There is no justification for that even if you try to provide rationale for it. Which is abhorrent, however you may try to dress it up. And disturbing.
The ICC has a warrant out for war crimes for Israeli leaders for this reason (among others). It states that the excuse of civilian shields is grossly exaggerated.
Maybe the Israelis with the warrants can go and defend their innocence on trial?

Futher the attacks on Palestinian communities and forced displacement on illegally occupied land has many opponents in Israel, as does the relentless bombing of Gaza. Many Israelis don't see this as drama, but as real human issues they object to and protest against.

Dangermoo · 29/06/2025 09:19

Ah yes, the illegally occupied land argument - yet again. Always with a one sided view, taken straight from Wikipedia.

Or taken straight from the ICJ.

The International Court of Justice (ICJ) has ruled that Israel's occupation of Palestinian territories is illegal under international law. This includes the West Bank, East Jerusalem, and the Gaza Strip. The ICJ's advisory opinion, delivered in July 2024, calls on Israel to end its occupation as quickly as possible and to cease settlement activity. The ruling also emphasizes the need for Israel to provide reparations to Palestinians for the harm caused by the occupation.

Interesting that you can take the ICJ's ruling on illegal occupation, but not on its ruling on genocide.

It's an ongoing case. They haven't ruled on it yet.

Dangermoo · 29/06/2025 09:30

I also take it the ICJ didn't get the memo of Jews' discrimination pre 1948. Even biggest laugh is South Africa bringing the case for genocide - of all people!

Well, for something so massive as genocide and the "hundreds of thousands" of casualties, they are taking their time about it. Funny that.

What part of no plausible cause of genocide, don't you get?

What are you talking about now? Who said there was no plausible cause of genocide?

I take it, you only Google the bits that are relevant to your views - which explains a lot.

Well the ICJ found no evidence of genocide, so what else is there to say? The biggest issue that Israel's critics wanted ruling and it wasn't.

This same poster has claimed there is a genocide in the UK we should be more concerned about. All credibility lost in my opinion and not worth engaging with
