Pretty obvious Hamas don't want peace, and neither do ordinary Gazans by the look of the scenes yesterday. My heart goes out to Yarden and I stand with Israel.

Of course bloody Hamas don't want peace. Not all that many years after there had been the election which voted them in I was in a meeting where I pointed out that the Palestinians?/Gazans? had voted for Hamas and they knew they were not peaceable. I think I was very much viewed as a nasty cow for saying it. I accept that there haven't been elections there for a long time and there are lots of Gazans who haven't ever been old enough to vote, but I am not sorry that I said my sentence that day.

I don't think every Palestinian is bad and I don't think that every Israeli is good. That is a very simplistic sentence but I haven't time to expand it, and this isn't the right thread, anyway.
