Did anyone see this last night? Heartbreaking and enraging in equal measure.

Absolutely.. it’s horrific I’m glad there’s a review because of possibly no due diligence … all the lefty luvvies demanding it is put back on even though it’s being investigated ..usual suspects too

someone from the BBC has potentially paid terrorists from our money .. if so then this is beyond the pail

Edited

I agree. Also the attempt to paint the concern about the narrator’s father being a government official (the government being Hamas) as racist is so predictable unfortunately.

Spot on @inamarina @cavalier

Rummly · 27/02/2025 17:51

The ICC warrant is a farce, as are the ICJ proceedings. I think we’re seeing the slow-motion disintegration of UN and other international accords, brought about by capture by activist mindset.

It’s a shame because properly directed international legal measures have worked to general world benefit until the last few years.

UNRWA is another disgrace.

A related issue is the gathering hostility to an increasingly politicised ECtHR which will come to a head. I believe in the ECHR and its court, but it is doing its best to make itself irrelevant.

It’s not at all difficult for people to speak up. Palestine is a cause celebre for the not-very-well-versed-in-global-affairs. People who love a bandwagon and see themselves as a crusader against ‘Western Colonialism’ (while of course living in a safe Western democracy and with zero intent of ever coming into contact with Hamas).

They do.

noblegiraffe · 27/02/2025 19:42

The BBC acknowledge serious flaws with the documentary and it won't be returning to iPlayer

And who benefitted from our £400,000 payment?

noblegiraffe · 27/02/2025 19:59

Genuinely surprised that the fact that Hamas are a proscribed terrorist organisation was considered more important than the Gary Lineker letter.

Scirocco · 27/02/2025 20:20

Very concerning to see that money has been paid to the family of a Hamas minister (in other words, to a Hamas minister) - effectively, a production company commissioned/funded by the BBC has knowingly given money to a proscribed terrorist organisation.

why do you think the icc warrant is a farce? Do you think bombing, hospitals and civilian infrastructure is not a war crime? Do you think indiscriminately bombing civilians is not a war crime? Do you think sniping children is not a war crime ? Do you think withholding aid and displacing a population is not a war crime? Please do enlighten given your superior legal understanding of these things?

ArtTheClown · 27/02/2025 21:45

Do you think bombing, hospitals and civilian infrastructure is not a war crime?

According to international law, it isn't necessarily, if there is reason to consider it a legitimate military target. That's what's made the whole case so ridiculous.

Everexpanding · 27/02/2025 21:45

What part of Unwra’s work do you think is a disgrace? Providing counselling and support to children with ptsd? Supporting the largest number of child amputees?

Genuinely surprised that the fact that Hamas are a proscribed terrorist organisation was considered more important than the Gary Lineker letter.

Genuinely NOT surprised that Lineker and his fellow luuvies were protesting that it was removed while surely being well aware it being investigated as antisemitic terrorist propaganda. They must have thought that they had enough influence over the BBC to get it put back on. How embarrassing for them and shows them up for what they are.

Sickening that these morons think they have, or do have, any influence in politics or global affairs.

The production team paid a limited amount of money to the mother of the narrating child through his sisters bank account. Who were they trying to hide it from? Wonder what ‘limited’ means because it doesn’t necessarily mean small.

Will Hoyo Films be investigated by the police along with the BBC? They are London based and the founder is someone called Jamie Roberts.

Bullshit, the only other person I can think of who’s bombed hospitals is Putin, hospitals containing civilians are never legitimate targets but maybe Israel’s dystopian AI targeting system disagrees like you, it lacking a heart or compassion

Err aiding and abetting terrorists who are the reason for the child amputees and the children with PTSD is pretty disgraceful don’t you think?

Agree.

noblegiraffe · 27/02/2025 21:55

The fact that they paid circuitously through female-owned bank accounts seems to suggest the production team were aware of a problem with potentially being seen to fund Hamas?

As does the fact that the statement says the BBC asked them about potential Hamas connections and they did not respond.

VolcanoJapan · 27/02/2025 21:58

YogiBear19 · 26/02/2025 23:20

Part of the problem is that these 'innocent people of Palestine' (as opposed to the actual Hamas terrorists) were the ones to storm a kibbutz (where lived well known peace activists who devoted themselves so much to both helping Gazans and Arab Israeli relationship) and steal innocent Israeli babies from their beds, shoot their beloved dogs in front of them and take them along with their mother to hold them hostage in the Hamas built terror tunnels before murdering them with their bare hands, stoning their tiny dead bodies to make it look like an Israeli attack and then holding their bodies for over a year.)

This 💯

Important to remember this.

Perhaps you could adress your comments to the correct poster, Rummly not me. There is no need to be so insulting with your post, either.

I am so saddened my the response to my post. But not surprised. The same old being shut down and silenced by the same posters.

How would you like me to prove the way in which the Bibas babies were murdered? The forensic tests have proved it. There for all to see.

Not a derailment. Not inflammatory. The truth. And a very valid point given the fact that this evil along with other unimaginable horrors (which again I'm sure will be denied here) were perpetuated by 'innocent' Palestinians civilians (as opposed to Hamas.)

“How would you like me to prove the way in which the Bibas babies were murdered? The forensic tests have proved it. There for all to see.”

The family were not even told before Netanyahu was spreading the word. We cannot talk about this.

Where’s your evidence for this come from? Where did the ICCs come from?

BTW if civilian infrastructure is used for military objective, it is considered a legitimate military target. it doesn’t take superior logic to understand these things. Just a quick google.

Do you care about law? Look up annexation law. People are inherently entitled to land!

How about I say you have no inherent right to your property? If I use force - I am entitled to your belongings/ house / land.

If you had any sense - you would be upset, no?

I asked the same question to @Wildflowers99 earlier but got no answer..
