I can't believe how unbalanced the media reporting is of the events last night

The maccabi fans were behaving atrociously and inciting conflict the entire day, pulling down flags, chanting 'fuck Palestine' and intimidating Dutch Arabs

Ok did the thugs who attacked random Israelis only target the people responsible for attacking these taxi drivers? Did they specifically seek out these people? It still wouldn’t condone their behaviour as civilised people would call the police, not take to the streets and carry out acts of violence. But no they attacked any Jew they could find at random, who had nothing to do with the taxi driver incidents. They are just anti semitic racist thugs who wanted to attack them simply because they are Jews.

Any comment about Israel thugs causing problems in Amsterdam or should we continue minimising them and only focus of what local thugs did? No violence and chanting should be accepted. As I’ve said above hooligans from any football team should be banned and not allowed to travel to any other country. They only cause problems

Has the Israeli government only attacked the thugs who killed, raped and maimed on 7th October?

Yes Israel are targeting the people responsible for October 7th. They are targeting Hamas who are the terrorist organisation responsible. Unfortunately Hamas have built schools, hospitals etc. above terror tunnels they are hiding in to maximise civilian deaths. They are using those children as human shields so you should blame the jihadis for that. Israel has a right to defend itself against a terrorist organisation who want to remove the only Jewish state that exists on this planet. I hate that children have suffered on both sides but Hamas are to blame on both sides.

Please don’t use the human shield card when it’s been proven Israel uses Palestinians as human shields as well.

You are speaking nonsense, there is no evidence that Israel are using civilians as human shields. Hamas are mega rich and have spent a LOT of money building these terror tunnels. Obviously placing schools, hospitals etc above them is proof as to what what their intentions. I watched a video recently with someone from Gaza admitting Hamas will not let civilians evacuate. I have to question a persons morals who allows an evil terrorist group who committed the October 7th attacks to control the narrative. Hamas do not care about the Palestinian children, if you want to save those kids Hamas need to be removed permanently.

The difference is the Israeli government allow their civilians to be removed from harms way unlike Hamas. The Israeli soldiers are not hiding in tunnels under their own civilians. If they were doing that a lot more Israelis would have died. As I have said Hamas need to be removed for the sake of both sides. Palestine need to be governed by people who protect their civilians and are not Islamist lunatics who want to kill all Jews. The solution is very obvious.

The behaviour of the gangs in Amsterdam yesterday was reprehensible. As another poster has just put it perfectly, collective punishment.

I was pointing out to the PP that the actions of the Israeli government in perpetrating collective punishment against innocent citizens of Gaza are equally irrational and reprehensible and that that poster’s argument is completely one sided.

Hundreds of thousands of innocent Palestinians have been displaced. Children approaching the tens of thousands have been murdered.

Your view is so entrenched that you won’t even try to consider any other. Some members of the Israeli Government are Zionist lunatics who want to kill all Palestinians. The illegal settlers most certainly are.

Some people believe what they want to believe. I like to work with facts. The layout of Gaza in terms of tunnels and what is above them is proof enough as to what their motives are. If you are pro Hamas you need your head examined.

Neither are the many millions around the world who are deeply concerned about the actions of the uncontrolled Government of Israel against the innocents in Gaza. @MrsSkylerWhite If you are going to condemn killing innocent children (understandably so) then you need to condemn everyone responsible. Hamas are responsible for killing many children on both sides. So if your not pro Hamas CONDEMN their actions!!! If you are going to put all the blame on Israel then you are misguided.

And of course many civilians have died if they are not allowed to evacuate and terror tunnels are strategically placed under civilians. The terrorists are at fault here, they started this conflict and then hid under civilians. They don’t care about the Palestinian children, how they’ve spent their billions have proven that. They could have made Palestine amazing with all that money. But instead they built downwards, instead of upwards.

The fact that there are tunnels beneath the feet of innocents is not their choice or their fault! The fact that civilians, who have no choice but to live under Hamas rule, are between the Israeli missiles and the tunnels should be enough to stop those missiles from being launched.

The IDF is probably the most efficient, highly trained and well equipped army in the world. Do you really think it’s incapable of locating and destroying the tunnels (and indeed the terrorists) if its masters actually want it to? The fact is, they don’t.

The Israeli Government wishes to eliminate Palestine and Palestinians just as fervently as Hamas wishes to eliminate Israel and Jewish people.

Well you seem to place all the blame on Israel on your previous posts and no mention of the part Hamas have played in this when in fact they are the main aggressors here.

It is not the Israeli governments fault that the civilians have been placed above tunnels. My entire point has been that Hamas are to blame for that. They placed them there! It wasn’t an accident. Also we still don’t know what proportion of the civilian deaths are actually terrorists. Recent estimates state that one civilian has been killed per terrorist. This ratio is a lot better than other conflicts. If Israel wanted to eliminate Palestinians then the deaths would be much higher and this ratio would be a lot worse. They want to remove the terrorists that will kill them all if allowed, it’s not hard to understand this.

Do you know that the majority of civillians in Gaza are where Israel have placed them not Hamas? Israel have been the ones moving them from here to there to everywhere relentlessly from the start of this conflict.

Ultimately, it doesn’t really matter who is to blame for the tunnels, does it?

The fact is that tens of thousands of people are being slaughtered, people who had nothing to do with them, who just want to raise their families in peace.

Children aren’t terrorists, over 13,000 have been murdered. Providence alone knows how many more maimed.

You and I clearly won’t agree on the whys and wherefores. Hopefully we both agree that this horror has to stop, there is insanity on both sides.

70% of those killed in Gaza are women and children so either Israel are really crap at their job or they are targeting citizens.
