A two day ceasefire was offered to them in return for four hostages but they declined. Antony Blinken, the US secretary of state, said Hamas “once again refused to release even a limited number of hostages to secure a ceasefire and relief for the people of Gaza”.
Isreal has now offered a million dollars for each hostage and safe passage out of Gaza for their captors. Hamas have yet to respond.

FFS stop misinterpreting things. Of course Hamas are responsible for what THEY have done. But as someone else pointed out they are a terrorist organision not funded or supported in any way by any other democratic nation.

Yes Hamas needs to be stopped, no one is suggesting they don't BUT Israel has no right to kill innocent civilians indiscriminately to do it. Over 16,000 children have been killed.

I think hamas are scumbags and some of the idf soldiers too. So much hatred. There should be a ceasefire and negotiations for hostage release too. Screeching on here is pretty ineffective though, but if it makes you feel better? It doesn't help the innocents though.

I'm not the one trying to justify the deaths of innocent children so no. I think all innocent deaths whether Israeli or Palestinian is a crime.

Well, there have been many instances where a people have overthrown a dictator or military governments. They had years to try something similar. Why didn’t they?

I’m saying what is happening now is a result of the internal affairs of Palestine. I’m asking why no one has got rid of Hamas in Palestine if they don’t reflect the views of the people there.

In one hand you have the only democracy in the ME with the most "moral" army in the world; on the other hand you have a terrorist organisation with not the most moral army in the world ( I stretch the term army here, btw).

Babies and children do support Hamas, obviously. I am pretty sure they are really trying to get rid of Hamas too, in between avoiding being murdered by being bombed, starved and any other means deployed by the ever so caring Israeli government.
I find your understanding of living under a repressive and murderous regime is lacking too.
Would you apply your logic to the French citizens who did not try to get rid of the German occupiers? Or to the North Koreans? Or to the Afghans?
