Hamas don’t want peace

A two day ceasefire was offered to them in return for four hostages but they declined. Antony Blinken, the US secretary of state, said Hamas “once again refused to release even a limited number of hostages to secure a ceasefire and relief for the people of Gaza”.
Isreal has now offered a million dollars for each hostage and safe passage out of Gaza for their captors. Hamas have yet to respond.

That was horrific but that act doesn't absolve the other.

Let's not pretend that 'Palestine' is a democracy
It is currently not a democracy, an election hasn't taken place for over 20 years. Whose pretending it is?
Why have you put Palestine in inverted commas?

Edited

Well which one of those things actually happened?

GhostCicada · 06/11/2024 19:52

Feelingathomenow · 06/11/2024 19:45

So why are you holding Israel to higher standards than Palestine?

Why is she holding a sovereign country to a higher standard than a recognised terrorist organisation? Is that a serious question?

I was just typing the same thing. The bar for Israel by some pro Israelis is so low that at times the expectations are even lower than what is expected of Hamas.

As are Hamas who parade raped, dead and mutilated Israeli women for all to celebrate. Let's not pretend that 'Palestine' is a democracy

Palestine is not a democracy, neither is Israel

Scirocco · 06/11/2024 20:28

Palestine doesn't need inverted commas around it. Despite the IDF's efforts, it still exists.

I've no idea what your question is referring to

I'm holding Israel to a higher standard than a terrorist organision, would prefer me not to and equate Israel with Hamas?

So do you think the people of Gaza don’t support Hamas and have been making a concerted effort to getting rid of them? Do you think the people of Gaza universally condemned Hamas and didn’t celebrate the actions on 7October? Did they offer to work with Israel to bring these terrorists to justice?

That's what I thought you meant but I wasn't aware there was a dispute over whether either happened so I was unsure why you were asking me.

GhostCicada · 06/11/2024 18:30

That post contains debunked stories. Babies in ovens? That didn't happen. Why would you 'chefs kiss' it rather than correct it? What happened was bad enough without fabricating stories too. Surely that poster is trying to do exactly what she is accusing the other poster of spreading horrific false stories in attempt to spread hate, one poor baby died in the Hamas attack, they died from a gunshot wound. Another unborn baby died when their mother was killed. Those two deaths are tragicl enough without making things up.

Edited

Hamas set fire to an apartment, the parents had to make the heart breaking decision to leave the baby on a window seal with the window open, risking it falling to its death over being suffocated. Fact check yourself!

To be fair, ordinary Palestinians didn’t have much time to condemn anything, as they were concentrating on trying to stay alive and keep their children alive.

Agreed. Also, the UK isn’t selling arms to Hamas or telling the world it supports them. Israel was seen as a civilised democracy, Hamas were never seen that way.

I don't know how many people support Hamas, I don't think it is as simplistic as that. They have not had a functioning democracy for 2 decades I don't think you have much choice but to support the terrorists controlling your state. I am not sure why you would think people in Gaza would work with and trust Israel? And I am unsure why you think any of this justifies killing them.

I'm not sure what you are talking about. Where was the oven, on a window 'seal'? Or are you saying Hamas took a baby off a window sill and put it in an oven?

I am correct about the number of babies that tragically died on Oct 7. I am correct that there were no ovens involved. Your story about windows doesn't change that.

israel had a group - most likely enabled by other ME states who, as you indicate, for all intents and purposes control Gaza, come into their country, brutally hunt down rape
and murder many civilians, both Israelis other nationalities. What do you think Israel, who have seen their people subject to genocides and exile repeatedly over thousands of years do? How would you have liked them to respond? Shrug their shoulders. If a group came over from France, people who ran the country and murdered say 1500 people at the Glastonbury festival then the French celebrated and hid the perpetrators what would you like to have for?

Really? You were there timing the celebrations?

Plenty Israelis celebrating the death and destruction in Gaza too. Even chartering boat tours and viewing points. None of it is pleasant hate on both sides.

I wouldn’t want everyone in France murdered by being bombed or starved to death, and I’m absolutely sure of that!

What are you on about. Plenty of people in Gaza were celebrating the mass murder of innocent people in Israel. The fault of everything that follows lies at the feet of Hamas and their sponsors.

Make a deal
If they did many hostages would have been saved, but Netanyahu doesn't give a shit about them.

No it doesn't. The Israeli government and the IDF are responsible for their actions including genocide.
The Israelis celebrating and participating in boat tours to see the destruction in Gaza are responsible for their actions.

What do you think the purpose of the 7October attacks was? Why do you think Hamas would make a deal? What consequences do you think Hamas should face for the rape, murder and torture and destruction of lives of thousands of people in Israel? What do you think Hamas would demand in any deal?

Its mind blowing when the ONLY people that don’t have to take responsibility is the very people that raped, murdered and took hostages, fire daily rockets & and have said on live TV they will do it again - is Hamas

Hamas devil dogs that need putting down
