How many more will Israel kill?

Whatsinanamehey · 29/10/2024 15:20

Nearly a 100 people reportedly killed in the north of Gaza today from a strike in Beit Lahia. Many of the dead are small children with some of the footage the most shocking I have seen. Dead children still trapped under the rubble and countless more injured. How can they continue to kill like this? How can this still be justified as self defence? How can such callous disregard for human life be condoned?

Genocide.
just imagine if we had done the same in Northern Ireland

I don't know why people on here keep insisting that the US and the UK 'make' Israel stop? It's not a playground at school. Israel is a sovereign nation. It does what it needs to to protect it's security. No one tells it what to do.

Hamas get stop this war any day by returning the hostages ( or their bodies ), surrendering, and admitting Israel's right to exist...

Still waiting for one of you to start that thread if you care so much about Palestinian lives....

Israel is a sovereign country who is dependant on the US dollars to "defend" itself.
So, yes, the US could stop the slaughter but Israel is advantageous to them.
I won't bother answering your second point because it has been done ad nauseum.
Finally, what are trying to say with your last sentence? Care to elaborate?

Even if Hamas did that, it wouldn't be the end of this genocidal campaign.

I disagree. I think it would be the end of this war. I think international and internal pressure would be such that the war would have to stop. Who would they be fighting, if Hamas surrendered and admitted Israel's right to exist? Serious question- do you believe Israel would just keep bombing until there's no civilians left? You honestly believe that? I don't.
I hope we'll see soon. This war won't continue for ever. And there will still be many, many Palestinians alive. Some in Isreal. Some in Jordan, some in the West Bank. Because it's not genocide. It's war. It's awful. I hope it ends soon.

How many more will Israel kill?

As many as it takes to get its hands on what’s left of Gaza. Israel has an agenda far bigger than protecting its citizens. It has a target in its sights and unlimited ammunition. Make no mistake, Israel wants as much of the Gaza Strip as it can get away with plundering. What it doesn’t want is the inconvenience of the people who live there, so Israel slaughters, bombs, burns and starves them and destroys their infrastructure. It’s like watching civilisation unravel right in front of our eyes.

Tel12 · 29/10/2024 19:04

They don't care how many die and while the US continues to send weapons it will continue.

Would you also like the US to stop sending interceptors for the Iron Dome? You know, the defense system that stops the rockets continually being lobbed by Hamas from slaughtering Israeli civilians? Or should they stop those too?

So many injured from today's indiscriminate attack can't even recieve treatment after Israel raided the nearby hospital and forced most of the staff to leave.

Of course they don't, their own country has blown them to bits along with the Palestinian people

I can’t believe anti semites still don’t get this!
Who are you referring to here?

Hammas still has 100 innocent Israeli civilians!
We are well aware of that but it doesn't justify killing Palestinian innocent civilians 100 just today. All innocent lives need to be protected from this.

It is not anti semitic to hold Israel to the same standards as other countries.

If France was slaughtering tens of thousands of innocent civilians id say people would be a bit judgy.

Whatsinanamehey · 29/10/2024 19:49

The US's reaction to today's massacre

The US - Israel's key ally - has described the attack in the town of Beit Lahiya as a "horrifying incident with a horrifying result" and said officials have reached out to the Israeli government to find out what happened.
State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller added he is aware of reports that children are among the dead.
He said officials have "made clear we want to know exactly what happened, how you could have a result that produces, according to reports, dozens of children dead, and we don't yet know the answer to that question".

HonestReporting or Honest Reporting is an Israeli media advocacy group. A pro-Israel media watchdog, it describes its mission as "combat[ting] ideological prejudice in journalism and the media, as it impacts Israel".

Id say they are completely impartial...

Whatsinanamehey · 29/10/2024 19:50

I suppose the US haven't twigged yet that Israel doesn't care what they think or have to say as long as they keep sending weapons over.

Seriously? You want to combat 'misinformation' with 'honest'reporting? A pro-Israeli propaganda website?

What has the Israeli government got to do before the Western governments stop them? How many must die before our so called leaders decide to take action? It is beyond belief what is happening before our eyes. It is horror after horror.
The difference between a Palestinian child and a British child is their place of birth.
History has taught us that when we fail to stop evil deeds, they grow bigger and bigger. We are witnessing this now. I feel so powerless in the face of such cruelty.

Western leaders do not care quite frankly. Those being massacred are not white people. To people like Biden, Starmer etc these people just do not matter. And they know Gaza cannot fight back. If anything they'll sell Netanyahu more weapons.

Oh c'mon. Your "evidence" includes an ad asking for donations to promote Israeli propaganda. It questions whether there is even a Palestinian people. It questions why the Arab population of Palestine (no such thing as Palestinians remember) weren't as overjoyed as the Jews by the UN plan in 1947.

I really couldn't stomach much more of your overtly racist, Islamophobic lies after that.

Switcher · 29/10/2024 20:08

I am simply amazed no one sees the double standard at play. I don't have to agree with what Israel is doing to believe that if the US is entitled to all the actions it has taken since 2001, then Israel is entitled to the actions it has taken since 2023. I don't agree with either course of action. But it's not genocide.

NautilusLionfish · 29/10/2024 20:09

Whatsinanamehey · 29/10/2024 19:50

I suppose the US haven't twigged yet that Israel doesn't care what they think or have to say as long as they keep sending weapons over.

You misunderstand. What US says in public about Israel's responsibility or the need to minimise casualty is just talk for the press and for PR. The reality is the US does not care one jot about people in Gaza. That is why they keep sending weapons and making impotent warnings. Then the next day they'll talk about Israel's right to defend itself which is code for do whatever you want we'll back you up. This is not defending itself. This is collect punishment. Massacres. In private they promise more weapons knowing what those weapons will be for. Biden has aided and abated war crimes. At least the orange blimp puts out just how nasty he is. Biden, Kamala and Co hide behind platitudes and veneers of decency. In truth they do give a fuck about Palestenians.
