Apart from the military issues there is also the matter of impending famine which could tip 'plausible genocide' into actual genocide

The 300000 people in northern gaza haven't had any proper food aid for weeks - they are eating grass, weeds and animal feed which is running out - many of them are particularly vulnerable as they are elderly disabled injured and unable to evacuate

The whole food aid situation is really precarious and getting worse as Israel tries to starve out Hamas

The news yesterday stated children are already dying of starvation.

Indeed. Children and adults named here who have starved to death

Yes I read that too - babies children and the elderly will die first

And as you say it's already happening

Efacsen · 17/02/2024 19:46

WHO/UN are wanting to set up a 'feeding station' for children in Rafah because of the high rates of child malnutrition

New borns have been dying in excessive numbers for a while

I don't know if anyone has been posting these reports some of which are passed to the ICC . I will wait for the deniers to step forward as per usual
Euro-Med Monitor sends UN rapporteurs, ICC Prosecutor primary report documenting dozens of field execution cases in Gaza [EN/AR] - occupied Palestinian territory | ReliefWeb

I'm sure there are many more cases than have been included in that report but I think it's notable that the three Israeli hostages who were executed by the IDF have been left out.

It can only be described as execution because the hostages were shirtless, unarmed, waving a white flag and asking for help in Hebrew but they were killed anyway.

If this is what's happens to men doing everything they can to prove they are not a threat then I can only imagine what happens to Palestinians running for cover.

Silence1 · 17/02/2024 19:53

@FOJN Absolutely right

Allourkids · 17/02/2024 19:57

I felt so so sorry for those guys. Imagine being their family. It goes to show how unprofessional and unskilled the IDF are.

FOJN · 17/02/2024 19:59

Children starving to death because of a man made famine whilst the US and UK keep supplying Israel with the munitions for more death and destruction is grotesque.

Should you contact your MP to make your feelings known and they send you a crappy non response bragging about the 87 million in aid we've allegedly sent to Gaza then please be sure to ask the fuckers how much our support of Israel has cost the British tax payer. Staffing a base in the med, flying transporter planes to Tel Aviv and undertaking aerial intelligence gathering missions over Gaza don't come cheap.

Ladyjanegreysketle · 17/02/2024 19:59

Do Euro-Med Monitors have observers in Gaza ?

Molymoly · 17/02/2024 20:07

@FOJN my MP hasn't bothered to answer any of my emails.

ConnieCounter · 17/02/2024 20:08

That's terribly sad. I can't imagine how many vulnerable people are dying or at risk of dying. The video of the very thin newborn sucking on a muslin filled with dates because his or her mother didn't have any milk really disturbed me.

Ladyjanegreysketle · 17/02/2024 20:14

Can anyone answer my question posted at 19.59.?

Thanks.

Silence1 · 17/02/2024 20:14

@Ladyjanegreysketle
Will Israel Gov let anyone in to investigate what they are up to? Why not if they have nothing to hide?
From the report sent to ICC "The rights organisation called on the aforementioned parties to take a firm position on the widespread killing operations carried out by Israeli forces targeting Palestinian civilians, especially the field executions and physical liquidations in the Gaza Strip. In addition, Euro-Med Monitor demanded the establishment of an international legal team, pressure to secure its entry into the Gaza Strip, and the start of an inquiry into these and other instances of Palestinian civilians being killed by Israeli forces".

Is your Google broken?

Impossible to know if this office has been bombed and whether the staff are still alive.

Silence1 · 17/02/2024 20:21

@Ladyjanegreysketle And the IPC report on starvation. Are you denying this?

According to IPC data analysis, the risk of famine increases each day as the current conflict continues and restricted humanitarian access persists. IPC analysis concludes that people in Gaza have already surpassed the acute food insecurity threshold of famine. At least one in four households, more than half a million people, is facing catastrophic acute food insecurity conditions. These alarmingly elevated levels of acute food insecurity are unprecedented in recent history.

and the cost* which of course Israel authorities are doing their best to *make sure isn't met
As needs are soaring, WFP requires a minimum of USD 314 million to sustain its emergency response for up to 1.1 million affected people until April 2024. The response is currently 58 percent funded.

No problem, lesson learned.

Well there's another child who will be radicalised by trauma. When he joins Hamas and the cycle of violence repeats we can call him an animal.

The human race is lost, we never learn.

I knew word for word what the response would be. It's the same pattern over and over again. Ask a question you think is a gotcha and when you find it isn't, deflect and find fault with the reply. It's funny.

Tomatoshish · 17/02/2024 20:56

I think the word for anyone who is ok with what is being shown on here. And keep asking for proof and keep asking when certain bodies are going to confirm things, because watching with their own eyes is not enough.... and think that it is also OK and right, is Evil.
