For the sake of arg, this is the definition:
War; a state of usually open and declared armed hostile conflict between states or nations’
There’s no two states or nations warring here. Gaza (not a state in itself - but let’s say separate region) didn’t attack Israel.
Hamas did. HAMAS are the (c20k) terrorists, not all of the 2.2m Palestinians.
If in the 70s-90s the British Gov had the same idea about tackling IRA, Ireland would still be a pile of dust and to equate population at the time, roughly 100,000 most innocent Irish people would be dead. But that wouldn’t have been the right thing to do, because 100,000 Irish people are not the IRA.
Yet the Israeli Govt and the IDF are attacking unarmed innocent Palestinians of Gaza and their homes, and specifically all of those who have means to tell the story of injustice (Press), help the innocent civilians (clinicians, civil and humanitarian staff) and preserve any Palestinian history, culture or learning (Academics, Palestinian monuments, graveyards).
The terror I would feel as one of the hostages’ relatives watching the IDF rain missiles and sundry in such a non-discriminate manner. The Israeli Govt. wrote off the poor remaining Israeli hostages after the first transfer. It is very obvious that recovering the hostages is secondary to clearing out Gaza.
It’s plain to see that Netanyahu and his cronies are milking this horror for personal benefit, trying to stay as relevant as possible to avoid being voted out and finally facing the consequences of his fraud and corruption charges.
@Ladyjanegreysketlecan I ask you an honest and open question?
What are you looking to achieve when you ask these questions?
Also, what do you feel you must defend in this thread?
