It's interesting that for a lot of these twitter links when scrolling a bit further down the link you often find more details, interesting details and often correction or queries. Twitter user pops up a clip, says this is IDF etc doing X then people assume it's fact and share. It's a quick site for likes and shares and many appear to have little fact.

I knew there was a reason I don't believe everything shared from twitter, Instagram and similar 🙄

Can you point out which Twitter link are you referring to ? I’ve checked the last 2 and none have got what you’re saying. Or are you trying to spread misinformation?

Are you disputing the events which have happened?

Are you suggesting that these photos/videos are somehow staged?

No, go follow the links and scroll down on the latest ones. Look at the comments and follow ups.

Just images and someone telling everyone what 'happened ' did it though? Was the aid convoy hit by naval fire? Just like the hospital was hit by the idf, only it wasn't was it. The shot man that some are claiming was attacking with a knife.

I tend to be a bit cynical with random twitter claims which show little. So many just post random twitter shares and suggest they are true. Some may be and others maybe not.

Caution perhaps, wouldn't want to continue to fuel hate. There's enough in that region already from both sides.

The 2 previously listed naval gunfire and man shot by female soldier. I mean does anyone here actually check if what they post is true or not? Go search them and get the details or does that not matter. I mean serious question here.

I have no idea what happened I wasn't there. Were any of you. Just assume what you read on X is true. I mean what proof is there that the naval fire hit a truck. Some ra dom on twitter says so and then it gets shared on and on.

Frankly, I can see why less and less people engage in some of these threads it's just a series of look at this from Tic toc, X or Instagram. No fact check on the majority of this happened that happened.

Many pretty disgusting things have occurred and yet so much posted that has no proof just random person says this or that, and some just believe. What happened to some normal fact checking?

The attack on the aid convoy is being widely reported by reputable sources not just on twitter

Not sure why you don't believe it - also it's happened before to an aid convoy in n gaza

IDK maybe attacking humanitarian aid distribution engenders ''more hate'' than reporting it when it happens

So post a more reliable source than random person on twitter says. It then is more believable rather than a thread full of twitter bits and bobs

I'm as others are wary of twitter, Tic toc and Instagram since so much rubbish on there made up.

Use more reliable sources for claims that things happened. I used to follow more threads but they are bogged down with seen this from twitter and clearly less people bother to engage on some threads now.

There is so much division and random twitter spreading and I'm sure we all know you can claim anything on twitter but it doesn't mean it's true

Russians also use it to great effect. Print a lie or a made up story. The truth is lost in all the bot replies which amplifies the message

I can't remember (mark twain I think) who said a lie travels around the world while the truth is still lacing up its boots

I mean what's the point engaging with people who post twitter after twitter claim. I suggest perhaps better sources. I have no idea if these collection of random twitter shares happened or not. I guess I dared question the sources from the echo chamber. Continue as you are, twitter share on and on.🙄

So much of this on twitter, I stupidly thought MN posters might do better. Use more reliable sources than Bob on twitter shared this, look..... its the modern equivalent of Bob down the pub said. Oh well. 🙄

Nothing stops you from verifying something yourself. That' s what I do.
The "bits and bobs" are actual human beings, you know.

Read about it in the Guardian this morning and saw it reported in a couple of other places too

@Februaryfeels it's a sad day for truth when robustly asking for a more reliable source than Bob on twitter said receives a 'you're rude' type response. Imagine writing a dissertation with Bob from twitter said, H from Instagram says this picture is x. You'd be laughed off. Sadly many of these threads are full of this level of 'proof' though.

Some people are blind to the truth.

I was querying sources. As I said I wish people would try to share more respected and reliable sources than look at this shared by x person from twitter et al

The thread might engage more people then.

I'd down grade anyone that uses a link from twitter as proof
