All things considered, this is the worst thing I’ve ever read (and I’ve studied a lot of history).

Seriously, if you are a survivor of SA it’s probably best you do not read this article.

That raping and killing on Oct 7 was barbaric and appalling, savage and disgusting beyond anything imaginable.

The fact that some Hamas spokespeople have vehemently denied it shows that they know full well what happened is a crime by their standards too.

If only the few survivors could gradually heal. I read at one point that tragically some have killed themselves.

As for Owen Jones there are no words adequate for showing how despicable he is.

Not that women are normally believed at the best of times, but given that raping as part of attacking is so common as well as all the gathered evidence and witness testimony related to this particular massacre on this particular day, and how clear it was that Hamas and loose Palestinian men were running completely amok, why wouldn’t it be true?

There was the clear evidence from the start with the film everyone saw of the poor girl pulled out a truck by her hair, her trousers covered in blood at her bottom, her ankles badly cut by wires/ties and then shoved into another vehicle. But no none in the news seemed to say much about it.

There was a little information in the news about these rapes 6 November <a class="break-all" href="https://www.ynet.co.il/news/article/yokra13660087#autoplay?utm_source=www.ynet.co.il&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=general_share" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">https://www.ynet.co.il/news/article/yokra13660087#autoplay?utm_source=www.ynet.co.il&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=general_share

https://www.theguardian.com/world/2023/nov/10/israel-womens-groups-warn-of-failure-to-keep-evidence-of-sexual-violence-in-hamas-attacks

There was also the very informative thread in the Feminism: Sex and Gender board.
https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/womens_rights/4945262-feminism-rape-and-israel-content-warning

Then at last the BBC.

This late New York Times article will mean more people in the USA will realise more fully the horror of what happened though. It is also very specific and detailed.

This.

Trulywonderful · 01/01/2024 17:41

Yes it is mostly the same people isn't it

They are either saying more evidence is needed or staying silent on this

However some good people are speaking out bit not enough though

Trulywonderful · 02/01/2024 14:43

Apparently this idiot thinks it is impossible to be both Pro-Palestine and anti-rape

This is the mentality we are dealing with

Is that the awful man who brought an under aged girl to Prince Andrew?

In what way would he be important for Israel in the first place?

Why would the person who said that think it would harm Israel to be against this creep of creeps?

Yes

He isn't the poster is a racist fuckwit

No idea because it isn't. He is a racist fuckwit that thinks he is making a good point but is just a racist fuck

Very depressing that some people are using the rape of underage girls or anyone else in tnis way. These things should not be used in too mock or spread false accusations. Some sick people in this world.

Hamas and their ilk are animals. Delighted to see they are being taken out one by one by the Israelis

Trulywonderful · 04/01/2024 03:31

This one should know better:

Zarina Sophie Shaikh is a Consultant Surgeon at The Royal Cornwall Hospital. She also denies the rape of Israeli women by Hamas.

Amazingly Dr. Shaikh is an Executive Board Member & Diversity and Inclusion Representative at the HCSA & a Subcommittee Member Guidelines & Protocols at BAHNO Head & Neck.

The rot runs deep doesn't it?
I'm sorry.

"The growing body of evidence about reported sexual violence is particularly harrowing," two UN-appointed independent experts on torture and executions - Alice Jill Edwards and Morris Tidball-Binz - said in a statement today.

"These acts constitute gross violations of international law, amounting to war crimes which, given the number of victims and the extensive premeditation and planning of the attacks, may also qualify as crimes against humanity," the experts said.

"Each and every victim deserves to be recognized, regardless of their ethnicity, religion, or sex, and our role is to be their voice," they added. (Reuters)

"We know the girls held in Gaza who were raped and might be pregnant, that’s our last chance for them to get abortions, before it’s too late.

Mirav Svirsky, the sister of Itay who is held in Gaza with 136 hostages for 3 months."

Hamas released these photos of four of the girls the still hold hostage. I have no idea if these are the girls are being sexual abused but look at the condition they are in. Imagine the condition of the girls that have not had their photos released

ChardonnaysBeastlyCat · 08/01/2024 22:27

Poor girls.

They look terrified.

noblegiraffe · 08/01/2024 22:39

Twitter is horrific, basically saying that no one should feel any sympathy for these teen girls because they are in the IDF. Even though they are compulsory conscripts.

And then others are saying that the images are faked.

The images seem to be from October 7th rather than recent.

You don’t need to go
as far as twitter for this.

Really? On here? A forum for women and mothers?

Yes Giraffe

I have just been on a thread where someone was saying just that. Whilst sat in their own little CAVE

Another poster was calling the hostages prisoners of war!

This is mumsnet 2024!!!!

The moderators need to do something about some of these posters. I am all for free speech but they are getting more sick in what they post by the day

noblegiraffe · 08/01/2024 23:13

One wonders what exactly the point was where they decided to apologise for terrorists.

Apologies..trigger warning for those in the midst of this horror..

I missed the bit where they hammered nails into genitals, burned children alive, kidnapped and tortured their own citizens..is it further down the article? Apologist for hamas?

Trulywonderful · 09/01/2024 08:45

suspicion

Seriously* *some posters have been waiting to point out that suspicion since the fuckwittery tweet was posted

I have been waiting for it. Took a bit for them to get the guts to do it on this thread but the list getting made public finally gives them a legitimate excuse. However it isn't a legitimate reason to defend the fuckwittery tweet that was posted is it

If people show you who they are believe then
