I won't open the link OP, but I did read the BBC article on the same topic a couple of weeks ago. In many ways I wish I hadn't. I'll never forget what I read, the grotesque inhumanity. Those poor people, their families. It's beyond comprehension.

So you just assumed that no one said that even though you couldn't be sure, and some of the responses to the deleted posts alluded to what was said. But hey any excuse to lecture people

Its not a one off attack. Hamas have said they intend to do it again and again & their regularly stated intent is to kill Jews, for being Jewish. That is genocidal intent. The only reaskn it has so far been 'one off' is because they have been stopped.

Absolutely silent. Too many people simply don't care what happened to Jewish people. All they care about are Palestinians.

No amount of deaths can make up for what happened on October 7th.

It is pretty unbelievable and shocking that someone would post on MN denying the rapes of October 7th, and someone else would say that Israel was only attacked on one day so not that bad, and yet this thread has had it all.

l am hoping that this is just clumsy wording. These are real people we are talking about. Not just numbers, a tally, a score. By either "side". The nature of the crime against women and girls is (was) the focus on this thread.

I care, and am appalled. Those articles are too hard to read properly.

One would have to be inhuman not to care about the suffering of civilians: to dismiss it because of the actions of the Israeli government is beyond comprehension.

Some posters on this thread appear to have lost their humanity, or worse.

It’s almost a shame they were deleted - it makes them too easy to deny.

None of this means I am not also horrified by the suffering in Gaza.

You then throw Jewish people into the mix, especially Israelis (Even though they were not all Jewish or Israeli)

I noticed during covid when I used to do twitter the treatment Jewish women got was horrible. Yes certain types go after Jewish men on twitter. However the way they go after Jewish women was way worse, really nasty and vicious on another level. I notice this with famous Jewish women in the media too. They seem to be hounded in a way the men are not.

Some of us have spoken before about getting people to do screenshot of the really bad posts they are deleted. To use as evidence these things have been said. However mumsnet would likely ban us for posting the screenshot of deleted posts on a thread. Therefore it is rather an annoying situation.

We kept getting people on thec thread posters saying where is the evidence after posts that someone was talking about was deleted

However if we were to try and show evidence of a deleted post then we would likely be breaking mumsnet rules. They would have deleted the post because it breaches the rules

So we are caught between a rock and a hard place

There's plenty of evidence as to the content of the deleted posts on here in the form of the horrified responses to them.

@Trulywonderful I think it's important to record them. For lots of reasons.

I can't even remember to proof read my posts. So the chances of me remembering to take a screenshot of the worst posts is like zero

The feelings this article gives me as a Jewish woman and mother of a Jewish daughter are visceral and impossible to explain with words.

I have wept and raged for these women every day since October 7.

I have no words adequate for my fury and sadness.

I have actually reported several threads and posters on these threads to the CST, Prevent, and the police. MNHQ doesn't seem to want to do anything about the virulent anti-Semitism on here, but those organisations are very interested in what's going on here.
