He really is a skidmark on the keks of humanity isn't he.

Cowardly scum.

SomeCatFromJapan · 07/01/2024 14:53

Die as I say, not as I do.

XRAYTHIS · 07/01/2024 14:55

I mean who can possibly respect Hamas or call them freedom fighters... they hide behind women and children rather than fighting man to man. Just cowards. They rape women and call it resistance, they are perverts as well as cowards.

Zoflorabore · 07/01/2024 14:57

I hope they get him, absolute shitbag 😡

Indeed.

I have just seen this update
I don't know if it will leaf to anything meaningful but one can hope

Qatari officials meet with hostage familiesThe families of hostages still held by Hamas in Gaza visited Qatar on "humanitarian grounds" yesterday, to meet with officials and discuss any potential for another release deal.
A diplomatic source with knowledge of the event told our US partner network NBC News that the meetings were "constructive, with the Qataris reiterating their efforts to secure the release of all remaining hostages".
However unspecified "recent events" had impacted the "atmosphere surrounding the talks", the source said.
Qatar has been a key broker in talks between Israel and Hamas since October.

There's also going to be a joint statement soon with Blinken and Qatari officials

StarbucksSmarterSister · 08/01/2024 02:12

Article (with distressing photos) of four of the young female hostages.

Chen Goldstein, a released hostage made this comment about the girls she saw (I'm not sure if she's referring to the four in the photographs).

"There were girls who spent 50 days and more alone,' she said. 'When they were sad, crying, their captors would stroke them and touch them. They described accounts of sexual abuse under gunpoint on a regular basis."

Those poor girls, I cannot imagine what they or their families are going through

EllaDisenchanted · 08/01/2024 08:54

@StarbucksSmarterSister horrific

SomeCatFromJapan · 08/01/2024 14:25

The images and brief clip of those girls is harrowing. They are clearly in a very poor state physically and mentally. Why is one bloodied? What the hell are they doing to them?

Kaffeebitte · 08/01/2024 17:32

@SomeCatFromJapan the article says the photos are from the day they were taken.

SomeCatFromJapan · 08/01/2024 17:35

So no recent proof of life then? Are they still "lost"?

Kaffeebitte · 08/01/2024 17:47

From what’s on X, they are soldiers captured from a military base on Oct 7. I can’t even bear to think what they must have gone through .

They were Observers who worked on one of the border bases. Some had hardly been in the IDF for any time at all.

Watching the news closely tonight. There's a lot of rumours flying that something big is happening/happened tonight (not positive sounding ). Hamas released an apparently current video of hostage Elad Katzir.
Idan Amedi (Fauda star) was seriously injured. There was a lot of rockets around supper time aimed at central Israel (could hear booms, and neighbours saw the interceptions, but no sirens in our area). Up north the army are apparently on highest alert.
And Blinken arrived.

SomeCatFromJapan · 08/01/2024 22:09

@EllaDisenchanted I've seen similar, nothing concrete but rumours that something big that is very negative has happened.

It's after midnight here. I don't know if anything will be confirmed over night.

stomachameleon · 08/01/2024 22:19

@EllaDisenchanted @SomeCatFromJapan hostage related do you think?

SomeCatFromJapan · 08/01/2024 22:22

@stomachameleon it might also be large IDF casualty figures - but I'm speculating only.

EllaDisenchanted · 08/01/2024 22:23

@stomachamaleon possibly a failed rescue, but it's all rumours at the moment, and extremely vague.

'Aviva Klompas; Mother of Yotam Haim, the hostage who was kidnapped to Gaza and mistakenly killed by the IDF:

"We buried Yotam on Monday and asked people to start coming on Tuesday [for shiva]. At 10:00 a.m. I opened the front door to our house and saw that 500 people were waiting for me downstairs. The whole street was full of people. I was shocked. I did not understand what was happening.

People started coming from all over the country. People I don't know, and everyone's message was, first of all, to thank me and my husband for being able to be full of optimism and hope throughout the seventy days, for our outlook on life, and for our ability to remain happy even after such a devastating event." '

I will continue to pray tonight.

I have found a report about the possible incident, obviously not confirmed or anything.

Thanks @SomeCatFromJapan . I have seen this, but seen other conflicting reports as well.

Reports that Idan Amedi has regained consciousness.
