Part 3.

I hope they come home soon and there's no need for a part 4.

Heard on the BBC’s World at One earlier that the breakdown of proposed hostages to be released is

35 hostages :
15 civilian men aged over 50
13 wounded men
7 civilian females who should have been released in previous deal

plus recently extended to add
5 female IDF soldiers.
Presumably these are Naama, Noa, and the 3 girls who appeared in the Hamas vid a couple of months ago?

No Bibas family? Where TF are they? If they really are dead Hamas could show proof but psychological torture seems to be a thing.

BTW Noa wasn't IDF, she's a student but I suppose Hamas might call her a soldier.

Are they going to provide proof of life for any others? I presume not.

Soldiers - all from Nahal Oz base
Naama Levy
Liri Albag
Agam Berger
( All 3 had just completed basic training and only been at the base for two days.)
Danielle Gilboa
Karina Ariev

All 19 except Liri who is 18.

@StarbucksSmarterSister if they are really no longer with us they should allow the Bibas family to return home to Israel. It is prolonging the torture for the family.

I would also make proof of life a condition.

"The spokesperson of the armed wing of Hamas said Friday that seven captives have been killed in Israeli air strikes in recent weeks.
In a brief communique, Abu Obaida said this takes the death toll among captives to over 70 due to Israeli bombing.
"We have been keen all along to preserve the lives of the prisoners, but it has become clear that the enemy leadership is deliberately killing its prisoners to get rid of this issue," Abu Obaida said." (Source: Middle East Eye)

well that seems like a trustworthy message.

Do they have the decency to give the names of people they say have died because they were taken by hamas.

LilaDidIt · 01/03/2024 19:32

Will update if/when I find out more

stomachamelon · 01/03/2024 20:16

@quantumbutterfly considering Hamas have never given any indications of life for any hostages or allowed anyone to see them I am happy to take anything they say with a pinch of salt.

Yes, they did give their names (mentioned in above article).

Interesting that the ministry of health/ Hamas armed wing (and some posters) think the IDF only kills Palestinian women and children and male hostages.

Not mentioning why they are there in the first place.

quantumbutterfly · 01/03/2024 21:12

Enemy prisoners? 🤔

Humdingerydoo · 01/03/2024 21:36

So we're now treating psychological warfare and terrorist propaganda as facts, are we? Terrorists with literally no respect for life are seen as a reliable source? 🤦🏻‍♀️

quantumbutterfly · 02/03/2024 09:57

Dead 😞or alive the hostages should be home.

So who would you suggest is a reliable source on the state of the hostages?

There isn't a reliable source. Hope that answers your question 👍🏻

Since the start every Palestinian that has been killed is innocent

Every person pictured who the IDF have captured has been innocent and definitely not a terrorist

No Palestinians took part in the massacre in October

No Palestinians mocked and desecrated dead Israelis

Hamas are a reliable source of Information

They need to free the hostages

@stomachamaleon This is quite an interesting bit of analysis from Shaeil Ben-Ephraim. I hope he's right about the conclusion he draws as the worst case scenario is unpleasant all round.

@SomeCatFromJapan agreed.

SomeCatFromJapan · 03/03/2024 21:46

I'm starting to wonder if the Hamas strategy is to attempt to win some sort of global propaganda war on the basis of the highest possible body count they can manage, rather than defeating Israel militarily.

I've been saying that since the very beginning - that it doesn't matter what Israel says and does because Hamas have already won the propaganda war. People willingly believe the murderous terrorists and spread their propaganda for them. It's incredibly sickening how many people have become essential parts of the Hamas propaganda machine. Literally couldn't be done without them.

People like to pretend that Hamas aren't really a threat. If they're not a threat, how did a Hamas family manage to leave Gaza this week? It's because they still have power. They're still in charge. They know exactly what they're doing, and they're being helped by all these fuckwits on here who seem to think they're some kind of freedom fighters.
