Oh I remember her from when I used to be on twitter. Rivkah Brown is simply dreadful to say the least.

etmoiandme · 28/12/2023 23:57

Oh don't get me started on her.

Her conversion therapy classes did make me piss myself though.

Trulywonderful · 29/12/2023 00:51

untitledmum actually I just remembered the march in Australia on the 10th October which was an eye opener

Palestinian supporters making Hitler proud in Sydney, Australia. Yelling “Gas the Jews” while waving Palestinian and black Al-Qaeda flags. Plus a lot of other interesting flags.

Totally sickening

The first protest was on 15th October 2023.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2023Israel%E2%80%93HamasswarprotestssintheeUnitedKingdom

Israel declared war on 8th October and by 13th October there had been 1300 fatalities in Israel and 1900 fatalities in Gaza.

All the protest have not been pro Hamas. They've been about showing solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza condemning the high rate of civilian casualties in Israeli attacks and calling for a ceasefire.

There was one in Manchester at lunchtime on 8th of October. I saw 2 of the organisers interviewed on the television. The woman (a Muslim) said she was "filled with pride" ( actual quote) about what had been done the day before. The man (white British) was asked what he thought and just launched into a rant about Israel and then walked off

That woman filled with pride over the attacks should be arrested and charged with supporting terrorism. Too many show support for what they term 'resistance '. Rape is not resistance, its sick. Anyone supporting rape as resistance disgusts me.

StarbucksSmarterSister · 29/12/2023 11:46

I couldn't believe she said it so openly. I hope she's on a watchlist at the very least

ScrollingLeaves · 29/12/2023 11:58

I saw a video nearer to the start of this war where two British ( or American?) Jewish women were screaming at, and calling rape on another Jewish woman who was peacefully protesting against the bombing of Palestinians.

BigFrau · 29/12/2023 12:03

Okay. So that proves what exactly?
It's disgusting whoever says it.

moosmama123 · 29/12/2023 12:22

@ScrollingLeaves you could literally say anything. What does that prove? That some people are sick.
What does 'calling rape' mean? They were threatening to rape her? Asking for her to be raped?
I am curious to know how that documents the 'horror that is Hamas'
Unless your minimising?

BigFrau · 29/12/2023 12:26

No, I think it's just a lame attempt at a "gotcha"
If it even happened

@freethem do you have evidence of this claim?
Also are you comparing words, as unpleasant as those words might be, with the actual violant gang rape, torture, murder and mutiation that did occur?

BigFrau · 29/12/2023 12:36

@freethem
Can you point to the bit where anyone says they are not bothered that rape was being wished upon people who were protesting against the mistreatment of the innocent Palestinians.

I don't see it.
As I said: It's disgusting whoever says it.

Can you point to the bit where anyone says Palestinian lives do not matter.

I don't see it.
So, no shame on me.

XRAYTHIS · 29/12/2023 12:53

Rape of anyone is disgusting and wrong. It's not resistance it's horrible. Wishing rape on anyone is also wrong. Not sure why some need that clarification when no one has said its ok!

I'll say it again for those hard of hearing or lacking understanding RAPE IS WRONG, ITS DISGUSTING, VILE and committed by cowardly scum.

If this actually happened - only have PP's word for it, haven't seen it mentioned anywhere else - surely to goodness you must see why they might have called it as the context is obvious. That is, the widescale minimisation and outright denial of the rape of Jewish Israeli women by Hamas. Sadly a lot of people really needed reminding this has actually happened, and still do.

If they were actually calling for rape, then of course that is abhorrent.

Regardless, this is purely anecdotal and I'd like to see evidence this happened so maybe @ScrollingLeaves could link us to the video she mentioned.

freethem · 29/12/2023 13:52

@etmoiandme I've seen the video. It's been posted on another thread a while back.

Shame on anyone equating words with actions.

SomeCatFromJapan · 29/12/2023 14:07

@freethem no-one else has though. But again, if it happened - it's words. Unpleassant to be on the receiving end of. Utterly incomparable compared to the horrors Israeli women and girls endured on 7 October.

bythebanksof · 29/12/2023 15:17

There is nothing special about the horror of Hamas. They are just one of many such organizations. They would repeat that massacre of innoncent Israelis on even even larger scale if they had the means. Just read about any of the countries with Sharia-based legal systems. Here is a nice list based on Iran https://www.npr.org/2022/11/03/1133056694/10-books-to-read-to-learn-about-womens-plight-in-iran

These societies are fundamentally different to ours (I'm English). A somewhat dated link, but worthwhile considering. https://www.pewresearch.org/religion/2013/04/30/the-worlds-muslims-religion-politics-society-beliefs-about-sharia/. It is also important to acknowledge that they have a lot of support in Gaza. Of course, there is fear, intimidation, misinformation, but there is a lot of support for murdering Jews.

One the other side, most Israelis seem just fine with killing 10's of thousands of innocent Palestinians, and supportive of the ethnic cleansing of the West Bank.

10 books to read to learn about women's plight in Iran

The latest uprising in Iran is about much more than mandatory hijab. We've complied a list of books that offer insight into the lives of Iranian women and what is happening in their country.

stomachamaleon · 29/12/2023 16:40

@bythebanksof how do you know that definitively either way? Are you friends with lots of Gazan's or Israelis?
Both of the statements you have made about Gazan's and Israelis seem like sweeping generalisations.

but there is a lot of support for murdering Jews.

and supportive of the ethnic cleansing of the West Bank.

For example.

Apparently the nails driven into women's genitals were nothing to do with Hamas, something something Israeli tanks:

Fucking unreal but tbh not surprising from him.

A good reminder anyway that no-one should be linking to The Grayzone as a credible source on these threads.
