It was about a special charity to bring together and give solace and healing to children who have lost family members in the IDF through taking them to camps in America.

I have just found a bit more information about Tal Chaimi and Tanzanian Joshua Mollel from The Times of Israel.

It seems Tal Chaimi was killed on Oct 7 when he was a part of a rapid response team, and Joshua Mollel was murdered in captivity. Hamas holds their bodies.

I am quite muddled actually. How does Israel know for example that Tal Chaime was killed Oct 7 not later in captivity, and that Joshua was murdered in captivity, and how do they know they are dead if they don’t have the bodies? If Tal was killed Oct 7 why did Hamas take his body? There were so many bodies left after that day.

Regardless, what a heartbreaking news for their families.

@ScrollingLeaves I read (and I don't have it to hand) that bodies were taken and booby trapped to entice soldiers on the border.

Apart from that i imagine they have spies and info coming out of Gaza. If Tai was part of a rapid response team I imagine they can say he was killed and left in Gaza as would be difficult to retrieve in a battle. If lots of colleagues saw it.

I am just surmising though. I don't know. And they are just bits I have heart from family.

Hamas appear to use children in their aim to kill Israeli. They don't appear to care for the children of Gaza at all. The women of Palestinian have high numbers of children and they seem to be pawns to Hamas. It's a dreadful life for all the innocent civilians.

Israel lost quite a lot of soldiers recently so Hamas are still strong and fighting and still sending rockets into Israel.

It's horrible.

A senior Hamas official said on Al Jazerra tonight that Hamas must be involved in the running of Gaza after the war is over. It seems they don't understand what they have done and how they don't improve the life of people in Gaza. It's all about them and their aims.

It's not going to end soon sadly.

Seems like it. They’re not hiding their genocidal intent anymore. Interesting how he states “Israel will be free”, when it’s the Palestinians who are currently imprisoned and ethnically cleansed from their land. But Israel is still a powerless and oppressed victim…

Also tgat he says kidnapping women and children was a mistake. Too bad he does not recognise the horrific rapes.

It seems it may well not work to exclude Hamas from a future Palestinian government, without a vote, without causing more anger. This war has evidently actually driven up Hamas’s popularity among the people.

Excuse me, but that man seems to me to be propaganda pushing.

I stopped when he spoke of all the Hamas they are arresting - given the videos of lorry load of stripped men and the one where a lot of naked men were on one side while a stripped man was placing guns down ( or one gun filmed twice first in one hand then another). We know many at least of those were just rounded up Palestinians. And wasn’t there a journalist too?

Anyway nothing seemed nuanced up till then so I would not have known whether what he went on to say was likely to be true or not.

He looked to me like a settler type not that I would really kniw.

Is he American in America? An American Israeli living in Israel?

Do we? I don't know, the whole situation seems extremely confused and confusing, as you'd expect from an active conflict situation. I daresay that at least some of the men arrested were connected to Hamas, as much as some posters would have one believe that they practically don't exist in Gaza.
