Mushroomsouptonight · 21/03/2024 23:01

Wow they seem to have captured some big name terrorists at Al Shifa hospital. I wonder if that means civilians are turning them in? Or were they around that area all along?

ConstantastheNorthernStar · 22/03/2024 00:09

@Mushroomsouptonight Oh, phew. I was starting to worry that the indiscriminate slaughter of thousands of people and the deliberate starvation of an entire population might have been just a teeny bit disproportionate. I take it back, totally reasonable.

I’m pleased you see that now, because Palestinian people aren’t the same as regular people, and if they die it doesn’t matter.

For anyone who doesn’t know my views. I am clearly being sarcastic. I’m appalled by the way some people can turn a blind eye to the suffering of our fellow human beings, simply because they see them as different to themselves.

The Israeli government have killed far more men, women, babies and children in five months than any of these men have. Neither ‘side’ is justified in their actions, neither is fighting a good or moral fight. In my opinion they are all terrorists.

Mushroomsouptonight · 22/03/2024 08:15

Goodness gracious there are some folks that really like to twist things about.

Efacsen · 22/03/2024 08:50

Even less independent reporting than 'usual' as all the journalists and their equipment were removed and destroyed from Al Shifa on day 1 of this present attack

Hamas aren't confirming loss of senior members yet and are challenging the photo-montage released by IDF - already dead/detained, not in Gaza, not one of ours etc etc

IDF spent weeks at Al Shifa in Nov/Dec removing terrorists and terrorist assets/infra-structure - how are they back so soon and in such numbers??

OP posts:
Efacsen · 22/03/2024 08:56

13 patients have reportedly died of enforced neglect

Two weeks ago 50 child patients were reported to be suffering from acute starvation and this is the hospital which admitted 100's from the 'flour atrocity'

No surgeon/s here despite pleas to replace staff and care relies on 'volunteers'

There's no water. electricity again

Damage limitation, any time Israel gets bad press or criticism from the world watching on they produce "evidence" to attempt to justify their operation. From a military perspective it makes no sense to go into Al Shifa hospital in November/ December and then just leave, surely if you penetrate that far into an area you retain a military presence there to secure it and you also work with the medical staff at the hospital to help it function again as a hospital and treat the injured and dying. It just does not add up at all that Hamas would get back in?

Shocking, if their only objective is to defeat Hamas why allow this to happen

Deja vu

And honestly where will the patients go this time so many fewer hospitals to go to

''Israel’s military orders hundreds of patients, displaced Palestinians and medical staff to evacuate al-Shifa Hospital as its operation at Gaza’s largest medical facility enters a fifth day''

Unbelievable! A hospital they have already occupied back in December now has to be evacuated again. Is it just sheer incompetence on the part of the IDF?

Parkingt111 · 22/03/2024 12:23

This Palestinian woman talks about how they were besieged at Al shifa hospital and had nowhere to go. The IDF forced them to go towards the south against their will.
She's holding children who are clearly starving. Even the ill were forced out

She says they can't feed their children. The poor babies, even from their faces you can see how malnourished they are.

I guess this is because hamas killed from this hospital some idf members last week so they feel Hamas is back in the hospital. However , there was a comment saying 350 Hamas members have been arrested … if that’s the case why do they have to then evacuate the hospital?

My God. The woman looks so thin too. No baby should look like that. That's just horrendous.

I'm sharing this because i see online that there's still some who think that it's not that bad in Gaza. That yes maybe some of them are a little bit hungry but that's about it and the rest is exaggerated.
For those who don't want to click on the links this is one of the ladies and children from Al shifa hospital. Their house was bombed so they were seeking shelter there

She was interviewed on the news last night can't remember if it was BBC or C4 but the babies looked so ill, heartbreaking

Latest from WHO on 'utterly inhumane' conditions at Al Shifa

  • 50 health workers and 143 patients have been kept in one building since the second day of the raid with extremely limited food, water and only one non-functional toilet.
  • Patients are in critical condition, many lying on the floor. Three patients are in need of intensive care. Two patients on life support died because of a lack of electricity.
  • No basic medical supplies, no dressings for wounds, and no medicine is available.
  • Health workers, who are concerned about their own safety, have requested urgent patient referrals to other hospitals.
  • Fighting is ongoing in the vicinity of the hospital.

And the operating theatres were destroyed yesterday so there'll be no need for those surgeons now

Radiology dept was also set alight by IDF
