So this is what they call a "precise and limited" operation.

Situation at Nasser. Posted 2 hours ago by the guardian.

"Precise and limited operation" We know Daniel Hagari is lying because his lips are moving.

Msf comment about the situation in the hospital. One of their members has been detained

@Efacsen yes it could be, I'm not sure what they are trained for

Parkingt111 · 15/02/2024 15:56

From the director of Al Nasser reported on BBC

"Since the midnight hours, violent shelling and severe explosions have continued in the vicinity of the complex."
The only patients remaining in the hospital are "piled up in wards", he tells the BBC, and have critical injuries.
Many of these patients have severe spinal injuries, severe limb injuries, limb amputations, brain injuries that led to cerebral palsy and hemiplegia, and these patients cannot move or cannot walk." from Nahed Abu-Teima Director, Nasser Medical Complex

Abu-Teima adds that everyone remaining in Nasser hospital are "all in extreme danger" and issues an appeal to the UN and Red Cross to "save these sick patients" and hospital workers trapped there.

Parkingt111 · 15/02/2024 15:56

It seems that the IDF are still in the hospital

PeasfullPerson · 15/02/2024 17:03

If IDF find anything we will hear all about their ‘victory’ and why it was absolutely necessary to terrorise people in this way.

Its not just the vile dehumanisation which shocks me but the complete lack of professionalism. These poorly disciplined soldiers come across as disgusting bullies who delight in their own appalling behaviour.

I don't think they're known for their professionalism. Or combat skill. Bombing yes. They can do that.

FOJN · 15/02/2024 17:26

This is an interview with an American doctor who returned from volunteering at Nasser Hospital a couple of weeks ago. The conditions sounded awful then, I can only imagine the horror now. Democracy Now is doing a good job of platforming people the MSM won't.

It's 53 minutes long.

I agree. Their lack of discipline, professionalism and combat competency is evident in the number of "friendly fire" casualties the IDF sustain.

Even if we give them the benefit of the doubt and assume that evacuating the hospital is necessary, I don't believe that for a minute, they don't appear to have a system in place to accomplish that without complete carnage. There is no order, just chaos which endangers everyone.

Statement from prcs rejecting idf accusations that 20 of their members belong to Hamas

Just awful

Remember the Head of PRCS in Khan Younis was detained during the evacuation of Al Shifa and released after 40 odd days of torture - released because he wasn't a Hamas member after all

As if these brave paramedics lives aren't hard enough

This is a channel four piece on the attack at Nasser hospital today, it also includes footage of the female doctor who ducked and ran to save the civilian who had been sniped outside the hospital. It highlights the struggles the Palestinians face and how footage shows that it was far from a targeted operation as said by the IDF.
It's a disgrace that civilians were asked to evacuate to Rafah considering that is the next target

Sadly this was predictable and inevitable. For some reason are esteemed leaders didn't ask any questions about what the IDF's plan was when they ran out of places to force the Gazans into.

All along I've thought the plan was to displace as much of the population as possible and then terrorise them until they are begging to leave or kill them using bombs, disease and starvation.

Efacsen · 16/02/2024 08:20

IDF claiming to have arrested dozens of Hamas fighters and found lots of weapons at Nasser hospital

All the patients and staff have been moved to one building - this involved carrying severely injured patients up stairs on peoples backs

Oxygen has now run out and verging on loss of electricity too

Can't imagine how awful this is for anyone caught up in it

OP posts:
Efacsen · 16/02/2024 08:40

Unlike when this happened at Al Shifa there aren't several other intact hospitals around to accommodate evacuees from Nasser hospital - the European hospital in Khan Younis is already taking patients from Rafah

Can't imagine how this going to pan out

Parkingt111 · 16/02/2024 08:47

@Efacsen thanks for updating. Dr Ahmed who I follow for updates at Al Nasser hospital has stopped posting. No idea if he is amongst those who have been detained.
Carrying injured patients on people's backs up the stairs! It's terrible

Parkingt111 · 16/02/2024 09:01

I have just read now that four people have reportedly died at Al Nasser ICU after the oxygen supply was cut off

Efacsen · 16/02/2024 09:05

@Parkingt111 how senior is Dr Admad? - if he's director level it definitely sounds possible

OP posts:
Parkingt111 · 16/02/2024 09:08

@Efacsen he is head of plastic and reconstructive surgery

Efacsen · 16/02/2024 09:12

So maybe then - plastic surgeons seem to be 'high up' in the hierachy [from observation only] because of all the burn injuries etc

One of the released hostages said that's where dozens of them were held at one point, her, her husband and their young children included. She has no reason to lie - her husband is still hostage so she'd be giving as accurate intel as possible as she obviously wants to bring him home. I'm assuming Hagari means they haven't yet found any hostages, dead or alive, there at this precise moment, but they know they've been there. I believe they even brought cadaver dogs to try and locate any deceased hostages.
