Am interested by the statistics you quote? and how 'Zionism' is defined by your 84% of the world's Jews being in favour?

As I understand it, Israeli citizenship is open for anyone Jewish? So anyone Jewish able to leave where they are living could live in Israel?

I shall honey as and when I feel like thank you. It is a mood thing, sometimes I am in a honey or darling mood. Other times after a long day I am not.

Anyway the flag of Arafat isn't exactly a flag to promote peace or a ceasefire is it. It was created to push a genocidal endeavour. Therefore my point is why is that being used on protests in the first place. It shouldn't be a symbol of Gaza or Arabs on the land in general. It should have been rejected by the citizens years ago.

Yes I meant Israeli, I had edited the sentence to say something different and didnt fix that when I altered the sentence - my mraning is obvious from the sentence before which refers to a 'nation' and the rest of that sentence which clearly says ' the historic specificity of its creation' which I think would fairly obviously, in the context, relate to Israel. I am so damn tired of talking about flags with people who are engaging in bad faith & pretending not to understand.

It's not bad faith - easy to dismiss people you disagree with as 'bad faith'.

But Israel and being Jewish are not the same, and when Israel is presented as representing all Jews it is significant

My understanding is that Zionism has two elements:

• that there should be a Jewish nation, and
• the Jewish nation was promised by God and includes certain areas of land that are therefore Jewish property, so even if they have been occupied by people who aren't Jewish for 2,009 years, those people have no rights

Let's get back to the march and why in its advertisement there is not one Israeli flag to be seen.

And yet you say I am wrong, but can't explain why. It does undermine your credibility. I don't claim to be an expert. You should be able to demolish my arguements in a couple of sentences.

The 'I could but I can't be bothered' isn't very convincing. And, of course, that I must be prejudiced.

But really - demolish my arguments!
