So it's OK for famous/ less famous people to back one side but not OK for others to back another side?

These are just a few examples of how pressures/ firings are directed at those criticising Israel. Is this normal? What the heck is happening? Is this to silence anyone from voicing what they think is the truth?

I would have understood if they imposed a kind of blanket gag order on all actors/ celebrities not to discuss the conflict.

"Genocide" is extremely loaded as well.

I am sure that’s there a lot antisemitic posts on SM at present. There should be minimal allowance made for racism, but this shouldn’t preclude legitimate concerns being raised about another country’s actions.

SM has made it more difficult for those in power to control narrative, and I imagine they are looking to see what they can do to gain back the control.

Have you heard the leaked audio of the Anti Defamation League ceo Greenblatt berating TikTok and the loss of control of information that people have access to? He’s concerned the younger generation are not as favourable in their views towards Israel compared to older generation.

It will be interesting to see how this progresses.

The silencing is crazy.

All my children's schools have assemblies and support offered to children affected by the conflict in Israel. Palestine is not even mentioned, like it doesn't exist, and noone can be affected by it. But if you mention Palestine, you can, and have been, suspended.

People should speak up. If they don't, things won't change. They might be doing that through ignorance and misinformation. Communication is key.

I think this proves what an echo chamber SM has become. I see nothing but extremely pro-Palestinian posts - I'm not sure I've seen anyone come forward and defend Israel in any way since they began their offensive.

It does bother me, though, that all the pressure is on Israel to stop the war, when Hamas could stop this at any minute.

I was shocked at Susan Sarandon. I always loved her movies from the 80’s onwards, grew up on them. I presumed from the characters she played that she was herself was a relatively sane, intelligent person. How wrong can you be! Very disappointed and I wouldn’t watch any of her films again.

If "no one" at her school would ever voice support for Israel, that's no good sign of "identifying propaganda". It's a sign of social pressure and groupthink. That's a bad thing.

Note, you say specifically "for Israel", not even for Israel's bombardment of Gaza. Are you saying that all of these teenagers would all state Israel has no right to exist (alone, specifically, without similar judgements being applied against any other states)?
