Are we really just going to just let this happen. I was upset about the protest ban in France but at least he has finally spoken up. When is the UK going to finally say something and stop letting this happen in our name.

This is the moment we have been warning the whole world the Gaza Deputy Health Minister Dr. Youssef Abu Alreesh, currently inside al-Shifa Hospital as it is takes heavy fire from Israeli forces.
Here are his translated comments:

  • This is the moment we have been warning the whole world of, all generators are off, all power sources are out.
  • We have 39 newborns in the incubators, those babies are fighting against death.
  • No one is able to move around the compound, snipers are stationed all over the place in addition to the drones that target and kill any moving person.
  • A few minutes ago one of the engineering team was hit by a sniper, he was hit in the neck and was paralysed and he’s now about to die.
  • Part of the hospital was shelled and part of the building caught fire, we fear it will engulf the whole compound.
  • A few families tried to leave but they were targeted; now they are lying dead outside the hospital. We cannot get to them.
  • We are totally stranded, we are cut off from the outside world, and above all, we are left without any medical resources. We cannot even bury the dead.
  • Ferocious gunfire can be heard within the vicinity of the hospital, the intensive care unit received a mortar shell a few minutes ago.
  • Blood is everywhere, on the floor, we cannot even clean it.
  • In the past, the Israeli killing machine was killing and this was conveyed on TV screens. Now they are perpetrating the same killing but no one is listening, no one is watching, the whole world is standing by.
  • We are speaking with whatever is left of my phone battery, after that, we will be silent.

Are you mistaking MN posters for politicians who SHOULD have the answers, given that is why they were elected?
If I were an Israeli voter, I'd be disappointed in Netanyhau for not coming up with better responses to various issues.

Edited

Agree. Deflecting all questions about Israel and turning to Egypt and the like.

They can defend genocide, but redirect questions about Israels actions.

Fairy0708 · 11/11/2023 21:59

Amen 👏👏👏

Fairy0708 · 11/11/2023 22:00

And also beheaded babies and threw them in ovens burnt alive...

OneHurtSpaggettio · 11/11/2023 22:00

I haven’t seen one pro-Israeli govt person on this thread say that they’re disgusted at the actions of the IDF.

Stomacharmeleon · 11/11/2023 22:01

I thought Israel only provided 13% of Gaza's water.

Perhaps look up the iron dome. Without it the rockets being fired into Israel (paid for by humanitarian aid, by the way) would have killed 100, 000s of Israel by now. Hamas is Isis.

Fairy0708 · 11/11/2023 22:04

Proven meaning....? I'll follow you back the rock...you first darling :)

All disgust is to be directed towards Hamas/Palestinians/people who advocate for ceasefire. It's rule number one in the play book. Even when things IDF/Israel govt have said have been proven to be patently false. Did you not read the playbook!?! Disappointed tsk tsk

winowin · 11/11/2023 22:05

@ChickHenLittle
I absolutely don't mistake MN posters for politicians.

It's just some are so adamant about what shouldn't happen I thought they would have some idea of what should.

Rubbishagain · 11/11/2023 22:05

Newbutoldfather · 11/11/2023 11:12

I am very pro Israel and their right to deal with the terrorists on their border. Even if they are targeting Hamas, who hide behind the weak like the cowards they are, this is grim.

It is also a huge mistake. The optics are terrible regardless of their motivations; there must be a more intelligent way of targeting based under hospitals without killing the sick and injured.

And today the electricity was cut from incubators. That’s what you are supporting. The medics have said time and time again for anyone to check who is in the hospital. Israel have the most advanced spyware and surveillance technology but they can’t locate a few people. And people like you are just supporting a genocide so Israel can steal more land and is now extracting gas from Palestinian land. You are complicit in the massacre basically. That’s what you are saying

Stomacharmeleon · 11/11/2023 22:07

@OneHurtSpaggettio we have had this conversation before I believe. It wasn't proved to be false. Children and babies were missing heads. The fact their bodies were then desecrated, burnt etc makes it difficult to say when exactly the heads were removed.

It's like it's not enough that they were murdered along with their parents.

And being a rape apologist.... you know cos can't say what the animal did to her what with being dead and everything. Really inconvenient.

PegasusReturns · 11/11/2023 22:08

Start a new thread for that

why should I?

There’s people on this thread denying the atrocities that Hamas committed on 7/10

There’s people on this thread stating that posters pointing out that the Gaza government is Hamas should fuck off.

that should be called out, otherwise this is a pointless debate. No one thinks that murdering babies is acceptable, but it’s not as straight forward as saying Israel must stop. Because then what happens? Hamas’ intended aim is to wipe out Jews.

Stomacharmeleon · 11/11/2023 22:09

@Chaitales when did Hamas state they would like a ceasefire and would abide by it?

Perhaps I misheard after the Hamas spokesperson said they would do it again.....

winowin · 11/11/2023 22:12

@Stomacharmeleon
If Israel ceased all fire I believe it would give Hamas the green light to do the same again and again and again.

winowin · 11/11/2023 22:14

And not a single person has any answers to the questions I've asked.

Chaitales · 11/11/2023 22:17

winowin · 11/11/2023 22:12

@Stomacharmeleon
If Israel ceased all fire I believe it would give Hamas the green light to do the same again and again and again.

Is Israel ceased all fire, it would let Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza live and work and pray in peace. If you take some time to look at settler violence, illegal occupation and attacks on AL Aqsa every Ramadan, you would know what is being talked about. That's the side of the story you're unwilling to look at.

Livinginanotherworld · 11/11/2023 22:20

TwilightSkies · 11/11/2023 13:14

don’t really understand what you want Israel to do,

Stop slaughtering innocent Palestinians maybe? Stop blowing up babies? Stop dropping phosphorus? Stop destroying hospitals? Stop pretending they are doing this because of Hamas? Maybe???

This is the only answer, nothing less. I feel sickened to the core by what’s happening, tonight it’s just overwhelmingly awful.

winowin · 11/11/2023 22:21

@Chaitales
If Hamas lay down their weapons there would be no war.
If Israel lay down their weapons there would be no Israel.

Israel are responding to the actions of Hamas. If Israel cease fire there will be no peace as Hamas won't stop until Israel is no more.

Stomacharmeleon · 11/11/2023 22:23

@Chaitales you know nothing about me or what I do or don't know. I have family on the West Bank so actual skin in the game.... ok?

I am more than willing to see both sides but as has been said this has not happened in a vacuum. Both sides have done depraved things to one another and we need to move on and see to the future

I pray for a two state solution but pain is palpable on both sides. I just hope they can find common ground.

I still think Hamas need to go.

winowin · 11/11/2023 22:24

@Livinginanotherworld
What do you want Hamas to do?
Stop murdering babies, raping women and setting civilians on fire?

Sussurations · 11/11/2023 22:26

Honestly, I think most people (including many Israelis) have a very low opinion of the Israeli government. Most people (including many Israelis) do not agree with settler violence, attacks on the Al-Aqsa mosque, etc.

In terms of sheer human suffering it is by any standard difficult to ‘justify’ Israel’s actions in Gaza.

HOWEVER. Hamas’s stated aim is to wipe Israel off the map. Iran wants to wipe Israel off the map. No matter how much we would all like it to be about letting people work, live, pray in peace that is not the reality. Israel is under constant attack. The atrocities of October 7 were just that, atrocities, and to quibble over whether rapes have been verified or babies beheaded is absolutely disgusting.

It is worth asking again, what has Hamas done to mitigate the suffering of the Palestinians in Gaza?

Chaitales · 11/11/2023 22:26

winowin · 11/11/2023 22:21

@Chaitales
If Hamas lay down their weapons there would be no war.
If Israel lay down their weapons there would be no Israel.

Israel are responding to the actions of Hamas. If Israel cease fire there will be no peace as Hamas won't stop until Israel is no more.

That doesn't explain why Israel allows settler attacks on the West Bank and is expanding it's territory illegally there, despite there being no hamas there. Or why it attacks worshippers praying in Al Aqsa every Ramadan. Or why it kills journalists such as Shireen Abu Akleh. Lines such as "if Israel lays down weapons etc" have no meaning without considered thought.

I can see you are not remotely interested in even thinking about this, so any further discussion is futile and I'm not engaging any more here. Thousands more children will be dead while we debate this. I'd suggest a little reading beyond what you think is absolute reality. You aren't answerable to me or anyone else, but in the long run, you owe it to yourself to be on the right side of history, and heaven forbid, a cheerleader for genocide. And that may begin with thinking even slightly outside your narrative.

winowin · 11/11/2023 22:27

@Chaitales
So what is the solution?

winowin · 11/11/2023 22:34

Real questions.

Tumbleweed.
