Hear Hamas Official in his own words and understand why Israel is doing what it has to:
We will Repeat The October 7 Attack, Time And Again, Until Israel Is Annihilated.

Hamas Official Ghazi Hamad: We Will Repeat The October 7 Attack, Time And Again, Until Israel Is Annihilated; We Are Victims – Everything We Do Is Justified

Ghazi Hamad of the Hamas political bureau said in an October 24, 2023 show on LBC TV (Lebanon) that Hamas is prepared to repeat the October 7 "Al-Aqsa Flood" Operation time and again until Israel is annihilated.

Yes! It seems so clear, I can't understand why people are still defending Hamas

Well said. Love how he is so keen for everyone to be martyrs. Everyone except the top brass that is.

I've genuinely not seen or heard anyone defending Hamas.

Thinking the state of Israel has behaved badly in the past or should not now be bombing Gaza is not the same as defending Hamas.

There is certainly plenty of ignorance and double standards around but that's not the same as excusing the horrors committed by Hamas.

donquixotedelamancha · 02/11/2023 16:50

We did not want to harm civilians, but there were complications on the ground, and there was a party in the area, with [civilian] population... It was a large area, across 40 kilometers...
1200+ dead. Almost all civilians. They didn't attack any military targets.

Every word out of Hamas' mouths is lies.

GrumpyPanda · 02/11/2023 17:02

Here's some background on their finances:

Whoha · 02/11/2023 17:21

Have you not heard anyone saying that Hamas is not a terrorist organization?

amylou8 · 02/11/2023 17:29

I haven't seen anyone defending Hamas. I have heard people defending the innocent civilians in Gaza. Although what choice Israel have I don't know.

ColumboOnTheCase · 02/11/2023 17:29

I don't see Israel behaving well.

Murdered more than 3600 children so far.

No one is defending Hamas. The issue is firstly the Israeli illegal settlers who have been stealing homes and land for decades. Gaza is a fraction of the size it used to be. Palestinian children are constantly being arrested and put in prisons for years for no reason. These are children.
gaza is constantly being bombed over the past decades with schools, airport, mosque’s, schools and hospitals destroyed. Now the indiscriminate bombing using illegal white phosphorus. That’s the issue

donquixotedelamancha · 02/11/2023 17:42

Whoha · 02/11/2023 17:21

Is that to me? I haven't, no. I would consider anyone who said that either a moron or a monster.

And this is why I think it’s much more difficult than saying “Israel should just stop.”

Even though I personally want them to stop.

What would you do if you lived in Israel? you’d seen friends and family members be raped and murdered, babies stolen. Would you just stop? Very easy to say you would.

I listened to a left wing Israeli who had been a campaigner for peace and the two state solution for decades. He had been caught up in the attacks. His wife and children were murdered.

He opposed the invasion because he wanted Gaza 'levelled from the skies' and the army only sent in when most of the population was dead.

Between this and the OP's interview with Hamas I just don't see how the slaughter will ever stop.

'Just stop killingchildren' you mean?

Let's face it Israel have been killing Palestinian children for a while now they are properly in heir element now.

Looks like in 2023 they are looking at getting rid of them all.

Not planning on leaving any for 2024.

According to Hamas

Condo · 02/11/2023 18:01

Exactly OP - I’ve been so shocked by what I have seen around this conflict. Theirs is an ideology which would see us all back in the dark ages. My heart bleeds for innocent civilians but the PP asking the question of what Isreal should do is spot on. There is undeniable anti semitism and calls for jihad as part of the protests - I wish the police would ban them as they have in France and Germany. The potential for civil unrest this weekend is huge if Remembrance Day is disrespected.

Stomacharmeleon · 02/11/2023 18:17

@donquixotedelamancha I imagine in his defence most people wouldn't be thinking logically if everyone they loved was murdered.

And yes that goes both ways.

But there has been 16 (?) ceasefires and all of them have been broken by Hamas. Israel have no choice but to rid Gaza of them. Hamas doesn't hold back in what it intends so I don't know why people refuse to listen.

Because it's just Jews?

Let's say pressure gets to Israel and they ceasefire. What do the general public honestly think will happen then? They will see it as weakness and all hell will break lose. And people on here complain of 'freedom fighters' 'genocide' and 'apartheid'

And sadly those who are most vocal would be decidedly less vocal if they lived under Hamas. But it's ok to inflict your opinions and bandy words from the safety of the uk though isn't it. Not many will know of actual daily terror.

Stomacharmeleon · 02/11/2023 18:19

It will be interesting to see how the marches are policed and how people behave this weekend particularly as it's Remembrance weekend.

Redlarge · 02/11/2023 18:20

Not come across anyone supporting Hamas.

Have come across a lot of justifications for Isreals mass murder and destruction of Gaza, though.

Redlarge · 02/11/2023 18:22

Flopsythebunny · 02/11/2023 17:58

According to Hamas

Its quite obvious that they have. Genocide playing out before the worlds eyes.
Plus committed heinous war crimes on a massive scale and continue to do so as we speak.

ColumboOnTheCase · 02/11/2023 18:22

Flopsythebunny · 02/11/2023 17:58

According to Hamas

How many do you think there are then?
Ten? Fifty? One hundred? Two hundred?

How many will be enough for you to be too disgusted and ashamed to try and justify what Israel are doing.

Isreals funding and finances are incredibly interesting.

Stomacharmeleon · 02/11/2023 18:35

@Redlarge I was literally on a thread today that said Hamas was justified. On here.

ColumboOnTheCase · 02/11/2023 18:40

'Because it's just Jews?'

@NotSuchASmugMarried Its's not about to he Jews though is it?

There are Jewish people who are disgusted by the Israeli government you don't speak for everyone.

It's about a bunch of bullies who will stop at nothing and the rest of the world has ringside seat to a genocide, just watching and waiting.

Completely agree. I am not equipped to judge someone who has watched his family be murdered.

I was just illustrating how each act of violence generates even more hate.
