This really. you can hate Hamas and feel sorry for civilian deaths in Gaza and feel sorry for Israel deaths? No one wins in this situation. Its not totally binary is it? It's not as simple as that is it? There are evil acts on both sides and maybe both sides have people who are in hell right now who have never wanted to kill anyone ever?

Facts:
The last election in Gaza was 25 January 2006.
Hamas took over the Gaza strip in June 2007.

Opinion:
Hamas are a bunch of unelected nutters.
Anyone who thinks they truly represent Gaza is probably also a bit of a nutter.

Hamas were elected after they'd already been designated a terrorist organisation. They literally chose to have terrorists represent them. And now people are surprised their elected terrorists haven't been calling for elections as regularly as they should?

That's not the same as the BBC saying they aren't terrorists. The BBC always use the term terrorist in specific contexts, they tend to call all such organisations militants.

Most of the outrage in the West is not in support of Hamas but as a direct response to the carnage that we are witnessing. Literally thousands of children dead, others maimed or traumatized.
