WTF am I reading? Unless you've been living under a rock, you know full well that civilians of all ages were gunned down, set alight, violently raped and tortured in front of their own family members. You disgust me beyond words. How fucking dare you.

But these actions won't end Hamas; they'll simply recruit a whole new cohort into the anti Israel movement and compound the problem in the region? Surely you can see that?

What is happening now is making the situation worse. Clearly the aim is not to remove Hamas as it is an ideology. Those children who are starving and without water will grow up to hate the Israeli government.

I don't want to sound hysterical but I am actually deeply shocked at what I was reading and the absolute lack of shame. I feel very very upset.

Direct that same feeling towards the children held in Israeli prisons without a fair trial. The child prisoners who are tortured and beaten.

It must be awful being an Israeli hostage without your family. Not knowing if you will get bombed by your own government. It must be awful and I can openly say that I feel for them and I hope they are returned safely.

Why can't you have a heart for the children of Palestine too?

Please don't try and manipulate me. My feelings don't matter one way or another, but as it happens I am deeply upset about the deaths of children on either side. But this thread is an antisemitic dumpster fire and even the headline is very misleading given we're actually talking about a permanent, full developed neighbourhood that's been there for decades, is located in the north of Gaza, and which the inhabitants were told to leave.

But equally those horrific events aren’t a justification for the atrocities being carried out by the Israeli government in Gaza.

It may be a war but there are international rules that need to be upheld. Israel does have the right to defend itself but what it is doing goes way beyond defence whatever excuses are being given.

You are justifying their deaths. They are innocent people. They have been told to flee south which was unsafe and many died. They have been told to flee every hospital in Gaza and many many other buildings. Is nowhere safe for them? ... Where would you go if you were a mother in Gaza? ... What would you trust was a safe place? ...

Many were killed* ... I am referring to the Palestinian deaths in a very passive way to no offend you but that is awful. They didn't die, they were bombed and killed intentionally when they were told they were walking on safe routes.

I'm correctly the misinformation in the thread, project what you want but I think it's important that somebody does. I'm now going to hide this thread and topic, I'm done.

Telling people to leave when you know there is nowhere safe for them to go is a piss poor excuse for killing people by dropping 6 1ton bombs on their home. Especially if you are the one making the place you have told them to go to unsafe.
