Refugee camps are supposed to be safe havens for refugees.

Can't edit the title. Meant to say Israel confirms bombing the refugee camp.

I condemn a lot of what the Israeli government does myself, fwiw. But that^^ is plain old blood libel.

I wasn't. I used the terms her family wanted in the public domain. You are using words with no thought of how they impact the families.
But your response and your posts prove you want a spurious argument and have no respect for any of the victims or their families. You're only interested in how you can use them and how you can derail threads.
People are dead. People are dying.
Have a long, hard think about what a compassionate and respectful response to that would be. And then if you have any maturity or introspection, you'll ask MN to delete your posts.

They have no human feelings; the only way to get to them is to starve them from our money. Every little helps.

This is you OP, describing the Jewish people? Same old same old. And, er, the founder of Tesco was one Jack Cohen.

I think you are mixing up Jewish people with Israeli zionists op, most Jewish people are disgusted with Israel’s genocide of the Palestinian people.

TheWayTheLightFalls · 31/10/2023 23:06

They're referring to the Israeli government. Condemnation of the Israeli government is not anti semitism.

Nope. They are referring to businesses they (incorrectly) attribute to being Jewish-owned, which have as much to do with the Israeli government as you do. Go back and read the quote. Stand by it?

Boycotting US businesses because they send money and arms to the Israelis. Quite right. Many people are boycotting US businesses now due to this violence.

Of course not, and you know it.

Here’s what you wrote:

“Yep. I want to vomit the coffee & croissant I had at Starbucks in the summer. BDS is the way to go.
They have no human feelings; the only way to get to them is to starve them from our money. Every little helps.
They've been working on wiping off Palestinians for a long time now.”

Awful. It’s because of attitudes like this, bored people riffing on the internet, that my kid is scared to go to school sometimes. Because dumb people read your views, swallow the same jew-blood libel bs from literally the medieval era, and go out to make ordinary people’s lives difficult. I’m a Jew. Are you telling me I don’t have “human feelings”? I just get a little frisson of excitement counting my money? That’s what you wrote up there. It’s in full before you start telling me about “context”.

Awful.

"Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) is a Palestinian-led[6] movement promoting boycotts, divestments, and economic sanctions against Israel. Its objective is to pressure Israel to meet what the BDS movement describes as Israel's obligations under international law..."

"BDS supporters see it as a human rights movement."

I refer again to the side that has been, y'know, doing an occupation and apartheid

But the "side" that, y'know, kicked this off with a mass terrorist rampage of rape, torture and death, not a word of condemnation.

Thanks - I know what BDS is. Talk to me about the words you chose to use to describe Jewish people.

Note King Charles III has just made an apology over Britain’s colonial past, while on tour in Kenya.

The Mau Mau were a Kenyan guerilla army which the UK at the time branded “terrorists” for resisting colonial rule, or occupation. Now we are apologising.

The British created camps for people suspected of being associated with the Mau Mau, including the elderly and children, and used methods of extreme torture to limit uprisings. Over one million Kenyans were forcibly removed from their homes and put into the camps.

Sound familiar?

There is so much anti-semitism everywhere it is crazy.

‘THEY’ do care. They need Hamas over so no more beheaded babies. No one thinks that won’t come at a high cost. But surely you direct your anger towards Hamas?

For the last time it is NOT ANTISEMITIC to critics the IDF and the Israeli Government

Did the world just not exist before 7 October? What was it like witnessing creation less than a month ago?

The terrorist attack hadn't occurred before 7 October. This is the inevitable response, it's a giant horrific fucking waste of all the lives lost.

Keep cheering for your team though.

And yet a 2009 Amnesty report was unable to find evidence of this but did find evidence of the IDF using Palestinians as human shields against Hamas. The Israeli Supreme Court ruled it unlawful but testimony of former IDF soldiers suggests it still goes on.

The 'human shields' is a tactic within Israeli counter terrorism policy in order to justify attack. Strangely the evidence is counter, that Israel use Palestinians as human shields!

Hamas appeared on the night of the 6th and by the 7th had killed innocent Israelis because they're racist zealots and totally not because they were witnessing the slow bleeding to death of their people through settler based colonialism.

Here we go. Another post justifying a terrorist massacre.

There isn't any justification for the acts that were carried out. None. Attempting to do so is grotesque.

And no, the subsequent bombing of Gaza does not render those acts any less grotesque.

https://www.justiceinfo.net/en/26585-question-of-genocide-at-the-heart-of-karadzic-judgment.html

This is a report from when Radovan Karadzic was convicted of Genocide and other war crimes.

When I ask myself are analogous facts true of Netanyahu the answer is of course yes.Simultaneously, it would be useful to remember that the tribunal for Yugoslavia convicted many people from all sides- an obvious analogy with my condemnation of HAMS.

Question of Genocide at the Heart of Karadzic Judgment

Former Bosnian Serb political leader Radovan Karadzic has been found guilty of genocide, crimes against humanity and war crimes committed during the war in Bosnia-Herzegovina (1992-1995). He was sentenced to 40 years in jail, but his lawyer will appeal...

And yet, as I have repeatedly pointed out, these things will happen when you remove all possible avenues of dealing with the problem that don't mean violence

Sorry no. I've read the details of what happened. No justification. Attempting to do so is despicable.

If your only distress is for victims on what you consider to be the right side, that is not compassion, you're just an ideologue.
