Since October 7, over 7,000 Palestinians have been killed in Israel's bombardment on the besieged Gaza Strip. Here are some of their names and faces. The people, human beings, behind the numbers.

Let's commemorate the genocide victims.

Please share pictures or links to videos about some of them while alive and happy (not pictures of dead please as there are plenty of those).

Let's put faces behind numbers 🇵🇸

Thank you for doing this thread.

Theres so much dehumanising and othering of Palestinians going on at the moment that people seem to have forgotten they were real people trying to live an ordinary life with ordinary objectives.

May they all rest in peace.

I will post any stories I find with photos from happier times to commemorate those who have died and keep their memory alive.

Thank you for this thread. So much dehumanisation and such biased reporting of what is happening in Palestine.

This story is so sad about the 7 year old boy Youseuf from Gaza:

The silence on this thread is deafening. I hope all the ones gone and left behind find peace. Makes our struggles seems so insignificant.

Direct quote from Karim Abu Alroos - researcher, and human rights activist who lives in Belgium and lost relatives in Gaza to Israeli airstrikes. He spoke to TIME on Oct. 18.

"Israel killed my sister Hadeel Abu Alroos, a public school teacher, her husband Basil Khayyat, a public roads engineer, her daughters Eileen and Celine, and her sons Muhammad and Mahmoud. They were safe in their home. Israel bombed their home without warning and without guilt. Since hearing the news of their death, I checked the videos I have of my sister’s daughters. In all the videos, my nieces were dancing. They loved dancing."

The article contains more stories. Sadly, Time has noted the date they spoke to each person - I'm guessing this is due to the fact they may not still be with us when the article is read. 😔

So heart breaking, here is ABSOLUTELY no excuse for this, I've seen so many posts trying to justify why Isreal is commiting war crimes

Thank you. So so sad 💔 This is the young boy whose father learnt about his death while on shift at the hospital he works in as a doctor.

This is why we need to break the silence and counter the propagandists.

Thank you for this post. Every day there are more and more horrific stories of the dead. I'm on the edge of crying but I still can't do it. I feel like it's almost selfish to cry when I'm in my house, safe and fed and warm, and my baby is safe. What right do I have to cry? It'd awful. Ill never forget what I've seen.

Indeed there isn't; none.

When I see stories of the lives of the people who died ill share them here.

Hullobaby · 27/10/2023 13:17

Just terrible 😞 my heart is breaking every day and I wish I could help somehow. Israel's government are committing war crimes daily with the support of the US and UK. I am appalled !
