Thank you for this post. Every day there are more and more horrific stories of the dead. I'm on the edge of crying but I still can't do it. I feel like it's almost selfish to cry when I'm in my house, safe and fed and warm, and my baby is safe. What right do I have to cry? It'd awful. Ill never forget what I've seen.

I did cry. Several times. You don't have to be on any side, just a human being, to be shaken to the core by what's happening there.

Just terrible 😞 my heart is breaking every day and I wish I could help somehow. Israel's government are committing war crimes daily with the support of the US and UK. I am appalled !

'Mariam Shaqalaih became a mother for the first time 5 months ago when she welcomed her pretty daughter Yumna. Unfortunately in October the brutal Israeli airstrike on Gaza led to the heartbreaking killing of little Yumna, leaving behind a devastated mother who had been eagerly anticipating watching her daughter grow up before her eyes.'

'When they said 'war', I fled with her, indifferent to my own fate. What mattered was for her to live. The day she died was a nightmare. I bathed her, dressed her in white, fed her mill and biscuits. I didn't know I was preparing her for death.'

Never again unless they are Muslim eh? Fucking hell I absolutely despair that I am bringing my babies up in a world where other babies don't matter.

What Hamas did/does is despicable but collective punishment is not the answer. US should be using their power and influence to demand a ceasefire, root out Hamas and force everyone back round the negotiating table to discuss a two state solution.
