Justifying the rape of women

Something I keep coming back to.. for the people whose sympathies lie with the Palestinians and think an eye for an eye and that Hamas have been pushed to act the way they have, how do you justify the brutal rape of women by Hamas?

No one is willing to admit that there is zero evidence of these claims. On another thread some posters like you and I tried to say this, and we got called antisemitic ffs.

Not the government, not the IDF but an Israeli volunteer organisation. But because they're Israeli you refuse to believe them. Plenty of journalists have been shown footage of what happened. They believe it. Why the hell won't you?! Why won't you believe Hamas themselves when they say they've done something? When they've filmed themselves doing it? That they will do it again?

Honestly, you are exactly what's wrong with this world. Pretending Hamas aren't pure evil, that proven events didn't happen.

If you are so deeply enmeshed in conspiracy theory, there's probably no point sharing the firsthand accounts of festival survivors or descriptions by the forensic team who have been trying to piece together what's left of people.

You might have the stomach to browse a site like hamas-massacre.net, especially as you'll probably dismiss it all as something hastily mocked up by Hollywood. After all, everyone knows Hollywood is just a bunch of Jews!

Equally, plenty of people believe that Israel have a hidden agenda and their only priority is ethnic cleansing of Muslim people. Nothing else. Plenty of evidence from Palestinian volunteers and charity workers to suggest it’s true. Why won’t you believe that?

I literally said in my post that I'm not saying it didn't happen. Just that I haven't seen any verifiable evidence. If you have some you can share I'd greatly appreciate it. Perhaps an article from the journalists who were shown the videos of the rapes and beheadings by the Israeli government?

Criticism of Israel has absolutely nothing to do with being Jewish. In fact there are loads of very brave Jewish people taking a stand against Israel's genocide of the Palestinians.

Well, there have been plenty of posts with this sort of information, but obviously if you automatically distrust anything that originates with an Israeli source, that kind of rules out the evidence, since errrrrrmmmm it was gathered in Israel...?!

You might want to look up the various testimonies of the Muslim physician scholar and women's rights activitist, Dr Qanta Ahmed, one of the people invited to view the 45-minute compilation of atrocities from the massacre.

Apart from the fact that you shared an article like this without even reading it, to imply gang-rape of a Palestinian child, you do know that Gaza has been bombing Israel for years, don't you? You do know that's why Israel has its Iron Dome missile defence system? You do know that if Hamas spent some of its $300 million on building something similar to protect Gazan civilians, instead of deliberately siting missile launchers around kindergartens/hospitals/mosques, this would make quite a difference to the numbers of casualties...?

Well in the meantime, why don't you go and watch the video of the Thai bloke having been shot and decapitated with a garden hoe while still alive. Dying a painful death. Or is only evidence of babies and women being beheaded you are looking for proof of? I often wonder what some of you would have done if Israel had released the footage of the massacre to the world. They didn't because its so graphic. Now, go and watch that sick footage I told you about that the terrorist scum recorded and uploaded to social media.

People, principally some incredibly brave Poles, managed to smuggle information out of the Nazi concentration camps. Unfortunately, politicians, diplomats and newspaper editors in the non-occupied West, while they acknowledged that something very bad was going on, thought the stories were so horrific and gruesome that they must be Polish propaganda.

I think what we are now discovering is that had the SS had Go-Pro cameras and social media accounts, people would still have thought that the Jews were exaggerating.

@MableT That is absolutely horrific what happened to that poor man. No one is saying Hamas are the good guys here. There are hundreds, if not thousands of equally horrific videos of Palestinian children who have been horrifically maimed by Israeli bombs. Are you saying Israel is justified in doing that?

People on both sides condemn Hamas for what they have done. The same can't be said for the people who condemn Israel.

I really resent being accused of valuing one nation's lives over another. It seems like a stubborn refusal to allow for the obvious differences between the inevitable civilian deaths that happen during war (especially war against an opponent like Hamas, which deliberately exploits sensitive targets), versus the deliberately sadistic and brutal slaying of a person face to face.

Israel is so used to being bombed by Gaza that the Nova festivalgoers took no notice of the missiles at first. Many survivors of that massacre comment on how much Hamas, and the Gazans who accompanied them, were clearly enjoying their spree: laughing as they raped women and then stabbed them to death, or vice versa... and all the other mind-numbingly horrific atrocities they carried out. It was like a happy day out for them. One they couldn't wait to share on social media in all its glory.

Ok let’s try to explain how a country that claims it is a democracy and abides by the UN laws, it is refusing to stop massacres of babies despite being wanted by so many countries around the world. Why are so many shelters, children, women, hospitals, schools and mosques being targeted only?? Israel has the power and skills to minimise deaths of innocent unarmed children. Considering the the civilians have no weapons It’s has the ability to take on Hamas by providing humanitarian aid and shelter to civilians. It’s 10k plus deaths now and they really don’t give a shit.

I find it extremely difficult to respect or believe a bunch of cowards murdering innocent, unarmed children. I can’t take their world for it I’m afraid.
No matter how hard I try, I cannot justify how the Israeli army is continuing to mass murder innocent Palestinians.
I can’t understand how a country with such a powerful army, technology and support around the world, needs to continue to murder babies. How, with their power and technology and advances, can they not provide shelter to Palestinian children and women at least? How can they not carry out special operations with their special forces, to root out Hamas and minimise those deaths. The only reason is because they have zero intention or care to minimise the deaths if in one by Palestinian children.
Of course this is about ethnic cleansing. Why do you act so surprised to hear it from me? Have you not been on social media recently. Have you not seen the tens and thousands of protesters around the world? Don’t act like I’m in the minority thinking this war is not more than just destroying Hamas.
