Be ashamed of yourselves

That’s right be ashamed of yourselves. I come in these threads thinking I’ll read someone saying what’s happening to the people of Palestine is awful but what I end up reading is people saying they brought it on themselves because they elected Hamas.

So, what if they elected Hamas. We elected the Conservative party but they don’t speak for me, they certainly don’t act on behalf of the everyday citizen of this country. Be ashamed of yourselves for not valuing the lives of Palestinians but putting so much value on the lives of Israelis.

be ashamed of yourselves for justifying the ethnic cleansing of over 2 million people because Hamas attacked Israel in early October. Be ashamed of yourselves for standing for genocide in 2023!

be ashamed of yourselves for saying we would never allow the holocaust to happen again yet Palestinians are held in an open air prison. It’s literally been called a concentration camp, with no way in or out and they are being rampaged with bombs, white phosphorus bombs being dropped on them non stop. On Sunday night 400 died because of the bombs, over 2000 children are now dead. Be ashamed of yourselves for justifying their deaths and blaming them for it.

be ashamed of yourselves for condoning the protestors for wanting Palestinians to have a right to live a peaceful existence.

be ashamed for bringing history into justifying the slaughter of so many people. Yes, Palestinians did welcome Israelis into the holy land in the 1940’s, it doesn’t mean they get to die now. Yes, Israel has a right to exist, but that doesn’t mean Palestine doesn’t. Yes, Israel has land grabbed and continues to do so but no one is allowed to say anything. Yes, their is no Hamas in the West Bank but why are the Palestinian still being killed. Why are so many people illegally arrested mainly kids - held for decades in Israel prisons. Are they not hostages? Yea, Israel asked asked the Palestinians to move to the south with 24 hours notice for their ‘safety’ yet they are being killed in the south.

be ashamed if you ask any one who stands to defend the rights of Palestinians if they condemn Hamas. Everyone condemns Hamas. Being pro Palestinian doesn’t mean your pro-Hamas. I also condemn the barbarian acts of genocide committed by Israel. I condemn the open displays of hate for Palestinian people - calling them human animals etc.

Be ashamed if you think it’s so great they are letting a trickle of aid in but no fuel to run hospitals. Electricity ran out last night in the hospital. So many babies reliant in incubators will die as a result. be ashamed if you think it’s okay for world leaders to not call for a ceasefire and instead show 100% support to what Israel
is doing.

no one has the right to hold one life more dearer than another.

you should be ashamed of yourselves for valuing some over others.

@Alcemeg we have already seen and discussed this remember 😊

Sorry! I'm losing track of who has seen what and whether we ever discussed it 😜 too busy broadcasting the Alcemeg show!!!!!!

I stand by what I say
ISRAEL IS COMMITTING A GENOCIDE

I know that's how you see it, but don't you think Israel is the target of genocide? I mean, Hamas make no secret of wanting Israel annihiliated. It's their stated plan. And it looks as though they have plenty of support from Gazans, judging from this film of them flooding in to have some fun.

Watch: Bulldozer tears down section of Israel-Gaza border fence

Video captures a bulldozer tearing down a portion of the fence that marked the Israel-Gaza border after Hamas launched its biggest attack on Israel in decade...

It's unbelievable that there are still debates going on about the justification for this. And people calling for ceasefire are the ones being accused of supporting terrorism.

Dystopia Stuff of nightmares.

Parkingt111 · 26/10/2023 11:12

@Alcemeg it's ok don't worry

Hamas are terrorists. We have all established that. But the innocent people. And we can say that there may be some amongst the civilians who support Hamas without going into what conditions the ordinary people have lived in since the blockade

But the majority of the innocent women men and children. Where do they go? Must we quietly accept that they will most likely die or be injured?
There is no place safe in Gaza. I am lucky enough to have a voice, and I want to use it for those in Gaza who do not. Who are being massacred whilst the world quietly watches

Be ashamed of yourselves

Hamas are terrorists. We don't really have high expectations. And as I said before there may be some in Gaza who support them. But remember from the clips you have posted it's not even 1% of the 2.1 million living there. Many of them whose wish right now is just to survive

On the other hand we have Israel. Who says it is a democracy. We do not expect a democracy to commit war crimes.

Gazans not wanting to be held in "open air prison" (while not being criminals so even the word prison is offensive) with movements, food, work, everything being restricted.

That is not the same as calling for genocide in Israel. Israel is literally doing a genocide, and instead of seeing that you're saying people wanting their freedom from illegal occupation is genocide.

Thisworld10 · 26/10/2023 11:40

Thanks @OhHelloTheres i will read that.

@OhHelloTheres i can understand what you are saying about the term. But now the hate is for the people of Palestine who are also Semitic so the term should also be used to refer to them now. I can understand it won’t because it’s so deeply embedded in what happened to Jewish people in WW2. I don’t like how the term is being weaponised so that you can’t call out Zionists for their disgusting behaviour without being called an anti-Semitic. I’m not talking about everyday peaceful Jewish people btw, they aren’t doing that.

Just yesterday I was reading about how the NHS had to take down some Palestinian made pictures from their entrance because some Jewish people felt intimidated by them. Honestly, I’m not sure how images made by kids displayed in a hospital could get such a reaction.

To everyone else, what is happening on the Gaza Strip amounts to genocide. It really does. Israel is killing people and openly saying that this is what they are doing. They are dehumanising them, this cannot be denied. They aren’t letting the international Palestinian community leave. They are barely letting any aid in, they have refused fuel to come in which could save the lives of so many innocents. They’ve targeted churches, UN schools and other buildings, taking our entire neighbourhoods. Killing in the south where they asked people to move to for supposedly their own safety. A journalists family was targeted yesterday and killed. A photographer who has turned into a on the ground reporting is asking for international protection (which he most likely won’t get) because he knows he could be next. It’s a sad state of affairs. I cannot accept that this is not genocide. It honestly is and if you can’t see that then you need to wake up.

Are you saying there isn't international outrage? I think we must be living in different worlds, certainly reading different MN threads for starters...!

OhHelloTheres · 26/10/2023 11:59

@Thisworld10
I'm still not clear on why it amounts to genocide. Hospitals don't have fuel and medical supplies because Hamas have stolen it and now won't give it back.

Don't get me wrong, I don't support everything Israel does. I just don't think they can be solely blamed for absolutely everything. Yet they are.

Was it on this thread that people were saying that not many Palestinians support Hamas? They have more support than you think, both in Gaza and around the world. These images are from a university in the US. I screenshot an article from the BBC because if I link it, no one will bother opening it. Not a criticism, just explaining why it's a screenshot rather than a link.

"Free Palestine from the river to the see" is what Hamas and other terrorist organisations (and certain government officials) say when they are calling for the eradication of the state of Israel and the death of every single Jew there.

"Glory to our martyrs" is pretty obviously them cheering on Hamas for their massacre just under three weeks ago.

So Hamas have support. Please stop pretending they don't.

With regards to getting rid of Palestinian pictures in the NHS I haven't heard anything about it so don't have a comment as I don't know anything about it. What were the pictures of? What NHS trust was it? If it's just a drawing of a dog from a 6 year old in Ramallah then obviously it's insane to feel intimidated by it.

Be ashamed of yourselves
OhHelloTheres · 26/10/2023 12:01

(I of course see that's Israel's offence in Gaza is devastating, I just don't see how it's genocide)

Parkingt111 · 26/10/2023 12:05

@OhHelloTheres so we both agree it's devastating but differ whether its a genocide or not. Ok I get your viewpoint

Also iv been seeing alot of Hamas steals the supplies but I haven't found any credible sources for it. If you have any, if you could send it on here please?
A third party verified credible source

OhHelloTheres · 26/10/2023 12:22

@Parkingt111
What would you consider a credible source though? There are plenty of screenshots of the tweet UNRWA themselves posted and articles about it. But they obviously deleted it so I can't show you the actual tweet. It's not like pro-Palestinian media will have written about it, but it's wildly reported everywhere else. Not sure what else to tell you. No point in me sending you a jpost article about it, is there!

Gruntsandgroans · 26/10/2023 12:22

I think this is so terrifying. I kind of feel bad for all of the times I've recommended Motazs instagram. I know that what is happening in Palestine needs to get out there to people but at what cost to them? Putting on the blue press vest is supposed to be a form of protection but in this case it's them putting on a target. A few weeks ago this bloke was just a photographer who happened to be trapped in Gaza with over 2million other people. Now he's a war photographer in a conflict with Israel who have years of history of targeting journalists and photographers. The man is clearly scared, clearly traumatised but clearly still wants to get the truth out there.

I don't know. It's just awful to watch. I never thought I'd be giving sighs of relief when I open instagram in the morning and see that a stranger is still posting because it means they have made it though another day without being killed. I feel like I'm running out of words for whole thing. It's all just so bleak.

But it's a huge statement to make without having a credible source behind it. I have seen this same statements by pro Israeli posters on just about every single thread but not a single one can point out a verified source for it.

And we all know the status of deleted tweets and how credible they are. Look at the uproar of natfalis deleted tweet claiming that Israel was behind the hospital bombing

Right but I can't prove a tweet happened if they've deleted it. No one denies the tweets about the hospital happened, but everyone including the person who tweeted denies it was an accurate reflection of events. I haven't seen UNRWA publicly go out and explain what their tweet actually meant. They just deleted it and pretended it never happened. And it's not the first time they've done this - as soon as they realise their lives are all of a sudden under threat from Hamas, tweets get deleted.

Alcemeg · 26/10/2023 12:38

I think we just have to use our common sense here and join up the dots. Not least considering how living conditions in Gaza have always remained atrocious despite Hamas's eyewatering wealth. (Except for their own living conditions, obvs.)

How do you know that their lives are under threat from Hamas? Last I heard it was Israel who are murdering UNRWA workers? 35 of them so far. Is that not still the case?

Efacsen · 26/10/2023 12:54

I read the tweet as you say it was widely reported - the tone more than the content surprised me - not their usual measured output - so angry

I'm not surprised they fear for their lives and they are just as trapped there as everyone else - all the things they've achieved against the odds are being destroyed in front of them Brave people under imaginable stress

But I don't think that Israel is banning fuel aid because of the tweet - it's just one in a long list of aid theft by Hamas and they were banning it before the tweet was posted

I don't know that that is what happened this time. I said that's what's happened previously.

Not sure any other armies get accused of murder. Usually it's "X amount of civilians have died". When it's Israel it's "Israel has murdered X amount of civilians". Why is that? Why are Israel held to higher standards than literally any other army in the world? Why don't you see your own hatred and bias?

Your language matters - start using it responsibly. Irresponsible language is what lead to my 7 year old having yet another lockdown drill at school last week in case anyone tried breaking in because people were saying they were going to go out and kill Jews because of Israel's supposed attack on a hospital.

I didn't mean to imply that the UNRWA tweet is the reason Israel won't allow fuel in (and not sure that I actually did?). I just meant that fuel gets stolen. It happens a lot. Israel has known about this for years, which is why they won't allow fuel in. That was just one example of a time Hamas stole supplies

Indeed, language matters. I do think that it is appalling for anyone to kill charity workers. They didn't just die?

I'm sorry about your 7 year old but that isn't on me. I've don't encourage hate towards Jews. The Israeli government need to be held to account for their war crimes. I'm not diluting my language. People aren't just dying in Gaza. They are being murdered. Killed on purpose.

OhHelloTheres · 26/10/2023 13:08

No, they didn't just die. They were killed. Not murdered, killed. There is a distinction. Obviously their loved ones won't give a flying fuck about there being a distinction, but the rest of the world should
